I remember as a kid I literally believed they existed and lived in my mouth.

I saw this movie back in the 80s on TV in Iran. Good to know so many other kids from so many other countries saw it and loved it as I did.

I remember watching this when I was 9 or 10 in South Korea. They dubbed it in Korean and aired it out as a holiday special for kids. I remembered it simply as "Grand Prix". I had no idea it was Norwegian made. I'm filled with nostalgia now. Thanks for uploading this!

There is the german orihinal to be found around here, but this english version is much nicer than the german one, to me as german. But, 69 today, I'm remembering as we pupils watched it in primary school, being five or six years young. And it worked to me, I'm posessing all of them still. Brush' em brother!;o}

I know this Norwegian folk tale very well, because I’m part Norwegian. The Fox’s Widow is quite sad, but also lovely. Once upon a time, the wolf and the bear refused to help the old hag to get her long nose out of the tree stump, then chased the rabbit all the way to the fox’s widow’s house and proposed to her, but they were both rejected. Fortunately, the new fox assisted the hag to get her nose out of the stump, being so kind to the rabbit and married the vixen and they lived happily ever after. 🤥🐺🐻🐰🦊🐈💐♥️

I know this Norwegian fairy tale, I’m part Norwegian. Veslefrikk worked for a pompous man, then he met three strange big figures who were the very same person who was in disguise and took Veslefrikk’s money, because he felt sorry for him and gave him a magic fiddle that anyone can dance to its tune and a gun that Veslefrikk can shoot at anything so far away from him. It’s an amazing Norwegian fairy tale. 👦🎻🇳🇴

I know this Norwegian fairy tale very well! I’m part Norwegian and I know most of Norway’s famous folk tales such as this, the three Billy goats gruff, the boy who had an eating contest with a troll, Soria Moria Castle, the fox’s widow, the boys who met the trolls in Hedalskogen, Veslefrikk and his magic fiddle, the white bear king, and the seventh master of the house. I learned this stuff from my mom, because she’s Norwegian.

I had this on VHS narrated by Peter Ustinov, along with animated Swineherd and Ugly Duckling

Norwegians will literally watch a 50 year old German/Chech film dubbed to Norwegian by a single guy doing all the voices every Christmas, then get mad when someone uploads 3 minutes of an English dub of a Caprino film to youtube. What is going on in this comment section. Did you really think the Italians deciding that "Veslefrikk med fela" should win the prize for best childrens' programming or the Americans who nominated "Flåklypa" for an Oscar were watching Caprino's films in Norwegian?

I never knew it this movie caught on in Denmark before my Danish girlfriend pointed it out to me.. Apparently it's considered a classic down there. You know you live far north when you refer to Denmark as "down there"...

The english dubbing to this film is mediocre at best and the orginal movie had the best actors in norway in the 70`s. The names is hilariously translated though...
