This kit cost 10.00 back in 1977...along with the B-17 and B-24

I had this kit when it first came out. I was a teenager then and I loved it. Looks like the molds are getting weaker now. The figures back then were not that soft!

I have 2 of the minigram kits, "Thumper" origionally the nose art was licenced during the war to be on the planes, however as Disney got woke they canceled the Licenceing and that is why you dont get new kits with thumper in them. Also I believe "Sweet 16" is currently at March AFB in C.A. on display

Building one of these at the moment...8 months in and about 3/4 done. Endless flash and removal and filler. The biggest bug of the kit is the fit of the windshield part into its place...Mine was over sized/warped `flat` and has been a pig to correct. But. It will be very rewarding at the finish! Enjoy yours and thank you for the review. ( Mine is the early 2000`s `Humpin Honey` Release ). The bomb bay bulkhead windows are easy to fill with micro clear! Tail gunner station windows are fairly average and are best replaced as well ( Depending on your desired outcome ).

Just a tiny warming about books. Watch out for the walkarounds of redone aircraft. A lot of times, more modern equipment or the wrong color of parts are shown as factual. The book you have is known for showing restored aircraft and not explaining what was changed

Nice build video, unfortunately the snow shovel is always white and unused on most vehicles. It would be nice to see a model with the desert barracuda thermal camouflage nets

My beef with the kit is that they don't tell you which variant parts go with which tank.

The 2-pdr gun was obsolete by the time the Firefly came along. The V C (five C) had the 17-pdr on board, arguably the best AT gun of the war.

Hello. Have you built this model? I am a beginner modeler, bought this model 2 years ago. I can't find a video on assembly anywhere. I don't know what parts to glue on. Cannon, engine judging by the photos are taken out of the model (I assembled them painted, transmission too). Could you please suggest a forum or video on how to assemble this model? Thanks

Nothing quite like a Red Chinese label.

The engineering on this kits is abysmal..nothing fit together without extensive shaving and sanding. There are many errors regarding antennae and the interior is devoid of accuracy. The copilot door should have glass on the bottom as well. They should have called it the hh-65B for what it is. Tamiya pricing for this junk! Never again.

that ref is almost all shadow . look at the cast shadow its closer to the photographer. the tiny bit next to the white highlight will be the truer color which is the haraka for the better match.

MRP has True Blue / ANA 501 / FS 15102 (MRP-384), I have both it and Hataka's version. I haven't sprayed them for a test - no plastic spoons sold in the EU- but in the bottle MRP looks to be a bit darker.
