We as a species will never, ever, EVER be worthy of or deserve dogs and their love. There is nothing in this world as pure as a dogs love. All kids should have a a dog. It will teach them responsibility having to care for it. It will teach them empathy and let them feel loved, no matter what. They will always have a friend to play with. Then, in my opinion, most important of all that dog will pass on and it will teach the kid to deal with loss before a "major" one, like a grandparent or parent. Like i said, we will never be worthy of them.
