Rainbow Dunes Centre located in Las Vegas, Nevada has been abandoned for almost 11 plus years. Once a thriving Kmart at the center with surrounding shops (Payless Shoes, Laundromat, Jewelry store and more). This strip mall had become a cement memory fading away under the desert sun. #dmod #deadretail #deadmall

Dead Malls & Retail of Southern California (Video #1 LOST IN THE VALLEY)
There's alot of great memories that happened during my employment for 10 years.
I liked this mall a lot back in the 1980s. The Robinson's/Red Bag was super cool. Woodland Hills was, I thought, the coolest town in The Valley.
My most fond memories of this mall was in my late middle/ early high school days looking forward every Friday to watch the newest movie’s premiering with treats from the candy shop and going to Barns & Noble afterwards
Lostinthevalley are you planning of doing more videos? Loved your style!!!!
MARKET BASKET
google not taking over anymore. ucla possibly. Google is going to the crapper.
In my opinion, this mall should be demolished for at least an indoor skatepark, at least a few retail stores, at least a few restaurants, and a Car Wash with a site layout very similar to the Brightworks Car Wash in Fort Worth, Texas but a lot bigger with on-site auto repair centers, on-site gas stations, convenience stores, and at least ten more indoor hand wash bays for many different types of cars, trucks, buses, boats, and RVs.
My mother and stepfather worked in the Kmart cafeteria for years in the 1970s at this exact same location. How sad it's over I'm 51 years old now they're still alive.I remember going there as a child and getting green jello in the cafeteria my mom a waitress and my srep dad a dishwasher that's where they met and stayed together for 40+ years.. I bought my son a $20 stroller in 1998 he's now 25 years old so sad to see it closed. My mom used to take ne to Eugene's store next door to buy me rabbits foot. Little did I know it's exactly what it was a real colored rabbit's foot.I feel terrible now as an adult knowing what it was An ACTUAL RABBITS FOOT However, as a kid I did not know better.I also used to get my prescriptions at the Save On until the mid 2000s. Memories so sad days gone by never to return
It's all gone now 😢. Such good memories ❤

This one I think it’s the Sherman way
I shared this video link inside a comment on LinkedIn where someone said. This will become a ucla research center now... So I guess all of the future offices and/or Google Either didn't happen or just didn't work out. And this was recently sold December 28th 2023. Just a few days ago to UCLA. WOW!
Hi toys r us toys store is in Macy's mall and buy toys in north American is already open toys please visit them is ok in 2024 this year 😊🎉
YOU ONLY SHOW CURRENT FOOTAGE OF THE MALL. I WAS HOPING TO SEE THE MALL DURING THE TIME I GREW UP, OVER 35 YEARS AGO LIKE THE ESPLANADE MALL VIDEO SHOWS THE WAY IT WAS. CENTER POINT MALL WAS VIBRANT AND LOVELY - NOT AS LOVELY AS THE ESPLANADE MALL BUT NOT LIKE TODAY'S FOOTAGE.😢 YOU DID NOT GIVE THIS MALL JUSTICE IT IS DUE!!!!
Update on this place the mall has completely closed. I explored it a month back and it has been completely trashed by Vandals. I have some of it on recording, but I was caught by security, but my camera wasn’t rolling. I also noticed mold, was starting to take over the place to
I tried to get in two days ago but there was no entrance and security was patrolling by
Do u know of an entrance?
Please make more videos! At least monthly instead of every couple years! Really enjoy your channel!
My Mom dragged my sister & I to that mall 2-3 times a week so SHE could shop till WE dropped.
This was my childhood and now es gone
This was the snot-hole Mall in the early 1980's to late 1990's as was the time I use to visit this place. Was very nice during Christmas Holidays. Back in the good ol days.
I worked at that one in 1981, its creepy seeing it like that.
I remember coming thru in the 80's when we lived in Tarzana. I think there was a Circuit CIty across the street...which is a Gym now.
Anything within the "30 mile zone" (TMZ) is classified as a local production, so it doesn't include travel reimbursements and mandatory overnights and hotels for the workers, as per union rules.
The mall mgt. had best get guards there before the homeless take notice and go a squatting with their problematical ways.😨
This is the last Kmart I set foot in. Bought my sons school uniforms from here - great prices. Maybe like 2012/2013
I use to mack on bitches at the Redlands mall
New subbie here. Enjoyed thus video. Brought so many memories back from high school days. And it's put together quite well. Thank you
I worked there for 7 years , it was sad to see what it became. Remember ha weekends just ti be packed.
In 2009 the Albertsons area became Lucky's until Superior Grocers and DD's Discounts took over. There used to be a movie theater too. Rite Aid shuttered in 2016, There also used to be a coin pool right in the center of the mall across from the now shuttered Payless/Kids shoe store
Used to get ice cream from the CVS/Thrifties during the 80s/90s with my mom's. It always felt like a dead mall, and thought it would have closed for good after the 90s, but here we are witnessing it's still untimely demise. Mexicans are the only reason it's still there. The residents of Oxnard have a different name for it, iykyk.
the old Hispanic bitch in its 60s tried very hard to kill an innocent man with lies.
I appreciate whoever decided to film these videos!!!
I would shop here, I miss it. And I would go to little Caesar’s too. It was a huge Kmart with a downstairs. Always busy.
How sad that area may be permanently ruined now the homeless have burnt that whole area to a crisp. Great video, I remember when this building had active security guards patrolling it.
My home town is such a crap hole now. :( very sad, everything is gone.
This mall is finally being demolished, starting today.
I did a drive by a few days ago. Havent started demolition at all.
@@MaryRobloxQueenThey started with the inside first. See the other video mentioned at the beginning of this video.
I always go to that mall everytime and i get ice cream and other stuff on the mall and theirs a Walmart
Sad, I opened that AMC, theres a huge hidden basement under it , It was suppose to be a Barnes & Noble but AMC just used it as storage.
There’s a video of a Kmart commercial from 1978 that was filmed here. It’s titled “Kmart 1978 TV commercial”
Awesome Vid! H-Mart Rules
I thought The Centerpoint was closed! I grew up in Ventura County and for some reason, I put this mall in with The Esplanade (which has been gone). Thanks for posting!
Hey guys this is Evie I bought a house.
Congratulations Evie
When they started building Wal-Mart all over the place , that was the end of the Mall era. Too bad really as the Malls kind of cemented an area together. A 70s kinda disco flavor if you will . Still more desirable then Wal-Mart chic. Thx. for the memories, I guess.
As I last remember, there is a Superior Foods where the Smith's was. It appears to be doing well but you cannot enter it from the mall (as you have shown). I am afraid to say I remember this mall because the family of my wife at the time lived a couple blocks down on E. Channel Island Blvd. I bought by dying father a watch there in 1995. He would be dead two weeks later. I got the watch back two weeks later in a brown bag. Only thing I got from my day ($15). So yea, I know this place. My stepson went to school across the street.
This shopping center making a come back with Cronies, Busters OG BBQ, Thai Place, and Escape Room.
Your videos are great! really well made!
I remember the Central City Mall. It was a happening place, with a multi-screen movie theater and restaurants. Parking spots were hard to find. So sad to see what happened.
Dam i use to live like 10 away walking distance right next to Larson elementary me and my family use to go to that mall pretty often I remember there was a Albertsons and a clothing store on the other side of the mall I left oxnard back in 2003 I have never been back it’s sad hopefully I will come and visit pretty soon see how the city has changed
Does anyone remember a Filipino guy in his 20's named Omar that worked in the Diner / Restaurant that was in the center of this Kmart store in 1990? 😃
