Super Gore Nest was definitely my personal favourite. Felt like playing Doom 1 or 2 and I loved how it looked.

My list: My opinion, but am always open to constructive criticism. For NG+ Impossible Stasis: S+ Breaks the game, prototype upgrade from mercer quest makes it do good dmg on top of it already being op. Free refills meaning stasis packs aren't really necessary. Contact Beam: S Primary fire is great on bosses and for the scripted tentacles that grabs you in hallways; secondary is great for the enhanced necros. Ammo economy is decent. Secondary charged shot that uses 3 ammo kills most enemies and can kill groups, giving you a surplus of 2 if you get ammo from only 1 necro. Great for brutes, guardians, and most other necros. Downside is you can be swarmed under the right circumstances if you mistime a secondary fire charge up. Force Gun: S Very hard to die using this under normal circumstances. Primary fire does good damage. Secondary fire combos very well and can buy time if you run out of stasis. Ammo is efficient generating surplus, and is the most valuable ammo type in the game, making fat stacks along the way. Counters most enemy types except guardians, and bosses/scripted tentacle. True downside is attacking at range when you can't reach the target. Plasma Cutter: A+ Most versatile gun in the game. Being able to target weak points easily, good against bosses/scripted tentacles, can get all upgrades without master lock, has dot, and can knock enemies down with melee if they overwhelm you. Only downside is it becomes ammo hungry late game. I've had 300 rounds go down quickly with this before when using by itself. Sucks against guardians in particular. Flame Thrower: A Ammo efficient, huge ammo capacity, very high stun chance, solid dps, very strong dot that combos very well with stasis. Downsides are you can't use in space, and guardians will insta murk you. Prevents swarmers from spawning from pregnants and counters swarmers hard as a whole. Line Gun: B Stronger than plasma cutter but less versatile. Laser mines are useful but situational, especially since you never stay in one area for long and have to defend for an extended period of time. The slower rof can be a problem if pressured by enhanced necros, same issues as the cutter against guardians. Ammo is the least efficient in the game, this really hurts the cutter. You only get 3 ammo per kill, so you will be working with a deficit if you aren't precise, or if you are facing enhanced necros/guardians. Pulse Rifle: B Primary fire is weak against standard and enhanced necros but good against bosses/scripted tentacle. Secondary fire is great against all target but especially a stasis'd brute, guardians are a cakewalk, enhanced necros are staggered and usually use a limb. Ammo capacity is huge, but efficiency is bad for primary fire and meh for secondary. Personal bias; I find it very easy to use in zero G Kinesis: C Explosive/sack/stasis bombs alone make this very useful. Using necro limbs/fire extinguishers helps guns that are less ammo efficent. Always causes stagger with thrown items that can pierce if it doesn't kill. Using it takes time, giving necros a chance to overwhelm you. If you panic, you can grab a useless item or throw a pickup by mistake. Ripper: C- Not bad, but not good either. Lower stun than flamethrower, lower damage than line gun, worse crowd control than force gun or flamethrower. Can injure pc. Special upgrades are more ricochets making higher chances for self injury, secondary fire as a whole is not very useful. Not easy to use in space, guardians will insta murk you, can't use well on bosses/scripted tentacle, and takes time/ammo to kill enhanced necros. While not bad in of itself, other weapons do any one thing much better than the ripper. Imo, it doesn't combo as well as others, it doesn't stand as well on its own as others avalible, and it doesn't have a niche. I ranked Kinesis higher because it is an addition to your toolkit, while the ripper will take up ammo spawns for better/more useful weapons.

I loaded out with plasma cutter, flame thrower and contact beam. Stuck to 3 weapons to keep ammo high. High level morphs got a good rinse of flame til the bones show then plasma cut, contact beam just rinsed every boss

The gaping dragon from DS1 actually takes headshot damage too (tho to be fair youre more inclined to jusr hit the tail so more people prolly saw the damage for guardian dragon since theres actual reason to hit the head in that fight)

Mars Core is the coolest looking one, Blood Swamps probably has the best gameplay. And this is coming from someone who isn't too keen on Spirits

Great vid! Thanks for including the levels' music during their section. I haven't played or listened to Eternal in a while so this was a really nice trip down memory lane. I hear you on Arc Complex feeling too long... I felt exhausted and stressed when I first played that level too. The reason why is because the majority of the fights happen before you reach the first turret tower. Seriously. There's only one major underground arena before the second tower, and then just the parking garage fight before the Marauder fight. I wish the fights were more evenly split between the first and second tower paths, as to make your progress feel more tangible and better paced. 21:56 I hate to "um actually" but there's another falling elevator section in Eternal at the start of Arc Complex. I think there's one in 2016 too after you get the BFG in that game lol. You're not alone, idk what it is, but something about being in a falling elevator is very...exhilarating to say the least haha. Urdak and the Holt are phenomenal. Hats off to id Software for the amazing immersive experiences. I prefer Urdak's turquoise color scheme as opposed to the Holt's purplish one, then again the Holt does have the forests of red trees. Idk how but I absolutely NEED to experience more of the Maykr world, whether it's in The Dark Ages coming in 2025 or some other supplemental material. The Maykrs were my favorite aspect of Eternal's lore and I desperately want more of Urdak.

It's a testament to how good this game is that even content creators would be absolutely oblivious to any and all lore yet they'd praise the game on gameplay alone. Absolutely loved how unashamedly you guys speak about your obliviousness of the lore. I have no clue WTF is happening in the game, but I LOVE IT.

Ive never been able to shoot the hole in emperor ings back during the final phase even though it says its a vulnerable spot in the scan log

Halo infinite dosnt move the story along like Halo 2 or Halo 3 the OG best halos. were on a ring for the whole game with our thumbs up our asses

7:45 - doesn't make any sense to not have Marauder as a "boss" encounter. As you say by everyone wanting him nerfed, he needs a dedicated space to learn his patterns and try grapple with how to actually fight him without the other demons around in later combat encounters. Much more important on the first playthrough as a game design necessity beyond any story justification.

it's a crime that the hydras aren't considered bosses, but the several demons are. I mean, the hydra fight is absolute horsecock garbage and 100% luck based, but it still has a cool design

No offense but it feels like you paid no attention to the game while playing it. How do you not know who locked up the Gorons in the fire temple? It was literally told you, specifically, as part of the main story. Hell, it's the main reason for you to go there. Also, Jabu Jabu really isn't that confusing if you pay attention... Sorry fam but this ain't it. A lot of criticism boils down to you sucking at the game. To be clear, I did enjoy the video and I don't wanna beat you down, but just giving my thoughts on it. No hard feelings!

Origins is the best by far keeps you in your toes even in higher rounds. Hard map to survive on with alot of things going on

Anyone else think whoever was assigning the music tracks to the different levels really missed a trick by reprising "Hell On Earth" for Final Sin instead of "The Only Thing They Fear Is You"? It's way too good a riff and way too good a track to just be a one-off even in a long level --and I think it woulda made all those rooftops feel a little bit nicer. And, you know, that's actually my biggest criticism of the game. :D

Chapter 5 is making me want to play Yoshi's Island after I finish PM64...I'm actually at the in-between 7 and 8...so close to the end...love this game, this is my first time playing the entire game I just bought it from eBay at the beginning of the month.

Hell yeah an OG Paper Mario fan over Thousand Year Door, seems everyone just loves Thousand Year Door, ignores the original and hates the newer games.

Omega Pirate has to have been at least half my deaths so far. If not more.

My only problem with doomblade bosses is how easy is to heal during combats when they spawn lots of small enemies in arena As much as I like void dragon vibe, you could just facetank them and escape killing some mobs and heal to full (i did it first try). I think game would be a lot better if they disabled health spawns during bossfights, it trivializes it too much thats why cybersentinel is so hard

Looking back without tinted glasses, 2016 really does fill a niche Eternal misses out on with its over the top awesomeness. Regardless 2016 is definitely dated. But still incredibly based

Isidora is the real kick a$$. Though Crisanta's second phase is near impossible, she would give you requiem aeternam at least 15 times before you understand what's happening. My two favorite bosses actually.

I used the Pulse against the Hive mind since i had like 400 ammo lol. Worked very well

3y old video, I know, but still, I am really surprised that The Blood Swamps gets such high praise. The dome traps felt dull and the fog-heavy sections of the map are just an absolute no-no for me as an accessibility standards expert.

I adore the first half of ARC Complex, but the 2nd half just slogs for me. It's still in my top 5 levels tho.

You forgot the Prologue, as for Chapter 8 it's a great chapter although the trek between Shooting Star Summit & Peach's Castle is abysmal. As for my worst to best I start with the Prologue because of how scripted it feels at times without action commands. Then I go 4, 6, 1, 8, 5, 2, 3, 7. Shy Guy Toybox while cute & creative gets bland quickly although it is cool that you can choose enemies/items from the Peach Segment before. While Still Basic the Koopa Bros really make Chapter 1 enjoyable & it's a huge upgrade from the Prologue. It's hard to choose between chapters 2 & 3 because of how awesome parts of them are like the sky turning dark when Dry Dry Ruins appears or the Tubba Blubba chase. My only regret for Chapter 7 is that the area where you meet the Ghost gets buried so that you don't see her ever again, it's easily the best chapter.

i did play dead space 3 and i have got to say... the flamethrower is the goat! you can atatch a stasis booster to the flamethrower to make is so that the flames actually stasis the enemies. the way the stasis rounds work in dead space three makes everything completely freeze if you shoot it enough times, and since you are able to upgrade the firerate of the flamethrower it just makes it way more busted, the flamethrower is also great for taking out the smaller enemies in a pinch. definitely a must have weapon for the hardest difficulty. a lot of people hate on dead space three for its workbench system, i found it incredibly innovative.

Davoth was the best fight because he basically throws you against every other demon in the entire game unless you stop him from doing so, and a mere image of what the Slayer would be if he continues his endless rage throughout millenniums. Almost as if to say if you live long enough you see yourself become the villain rather than die a hero. Samur was the most satisfying fight as he betrayed you in Doom 2016 disguising himself as Samuel Hayden so it was a long brewing beat down since then. The Khan Makyr was like the introduction to Doom Slayers capabilities and how strong he is by beating a Divine God. Gladiator was just a sneaky preview of what to see in this new upcoming prequel. Doom Hunter was overhyped to be a powerful demon designed to defeat the slayer as the game goes on he’s basically just another demon they add to make fights a little more challenging. The Marauder is another hint at the new Prequel a demon from the slayers past who can almost match the slayers speed and some of his abilities. The Icon of Sin is just what he is an ICONIC boss from past games and he is the Spectacle of the game showing that The Slayer can defeat Planet destroying level enemies

Excelsus is only called a Metal Gear because the company that made it wanted to sell more and the name "Metal Gear" will make it more attractive. But it was only made to level cities with its laser cannons. Also i completely disagree with Sundowner being so low, his fight is easier but him playing dirty is a good change up from the lasy few fights where they are one on one.
