I’d say the best way to describe this cover is… haunting. Feelings of mournful sadness and the weight of loss hang over you like a dense fog. The shadows of eerie, otherworldly spirits drift, lost, just out of sight.

When played with real musical instruments and not video game synthesizers, this piece of music is a lot less creepy!

Lavender town wasn't meant to be scary,it was meant to show mourning and loss.It shows how a trainer feels when their pokemon dies and how cubone is sad and scared without it's mother in their life.Lavender town is a graveyard with ghost Pokemon roaming around and honestly the fact they put that in a kids game is oddly sweet for people who have lost someone at a young age yet dark because of the whole death aspect in a game about catching electric mice.

Everyone's ignoring how terrifying the pokemon in the video is.

Imagine you're breaking into a house, you hear strange piano-like noises, it feels nostalgiac, then you realise its the lavender town theme. A man walks out of one of the rooms, holding a bat and wearing a strange rubber mask. You realise it looks a bit like a chicken. You're out on the ground a few seconds later, the last thing you hear, is a faint automated voice, saying, "I really enjoyed that."

Detective Pikachu deleted scene (idea) it actually shows Cubone’s mom being killed. And then it cuts to “Lavender Pokémon graveyard” while this music plays..
