Michael Biehn explains and describes how he taught himself the infamous pistol spinning technique used in the scene with Val Kilmer, during their first meeting in Tombstone as Johnny Ringo and Doc Holliday, at the 2017 Salt Lake Comic Con. This is also the famous cup spinning scene in which Val Kilmer had practiced numerous times around the film set to perfect. Tombstone Theatrical Version and ...
Tombstone: All deleted scenes

All deleted scenes from the Director's cut of Tombstone. They have been shown in the order in which they appear in conjunction with the movie's theatrical release. Personally i think the Director's Cut adds a deeper persona to Mattie and Wyatt's relationship. The deleted scenes also help fill in small gaps that were somewhat unanswered in the theatrical version. Tombstone Theatrical Version and...

Val Kilmer explains how he came to create the persona of Doc Holliday
zhlédnutí 3,3MPřed 5 lety
Val Kilmer discusses how he came to form Doc Holliday's dialect and mannerisms for Tombstone at the 2012 Ohio Comic Con in Columbus, Ohio. He briefly describes what it was like to act alongside some up and coming actors, as well as tenured stars. I have placed a collection of scenes from the movie depicting what i feel are the strongest examples of Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday and his...

Our first introduction to Kurt Russell's character as Wyatt Earp gives us foreshadowing of what type of persona he will have for the duration of the movie. The symbolism of his actions shows that he does not take cruelty or injustice lightly and that it will be met with a firm righteous hand. What is your favorite scene or character from Tombstone? Best film ever, should have received best actor and best supporting actor
Every video I watch of doc holiday everyone keeps talking about a actor lmao yall goofy 😂
That moment he's talking about is when he realizes there's no getting out of the fight...he processes that for a second, then lets the crazy take over and he goes for it, knowing he can't beat Doc. That momentary flash of the crazy going across his face is priceless. Biehn is right, that's a hell of an acting job right there. Doc was definitely his huckleberry, at least in this film.
Sowing & reaping at its finest. Johnny got shot at the end exactly how and where he shot the priest.
The guy playing Ed Bailey is Frank Stallone... Brother of Sylvester Stallone
A flawless performance by Val. Talk of inhabiting a character and bringing them to life. One of the great, understated performances I have seen. Tombstone had a truly magnificent cast, but without Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday, there is no movie.
Indeed, Val doesn't take any flax from anyone. 😂
@@nicksterj Oops! Thanks for the heads-up. To quote Groucho Marx clearly; _"I can't type and spell at the same time."_
2024??!!
For those uneducated people complaining about Oscar snub. ... the Georgia accent was so off that Val was made fun of and his performance wasn't taken seriously
I agree. He got all the pronunciations of the words right, but his voice just didn't have that "quality" that an authentic Southern accent would. It sounded like an educated guy from California using Southern dialect. Plus he used an affected voice to do it with, instead of his own....like he was imitating Huckleberry Hound.
Well, he wasn't trying to do a modern Georgian accent: czcams.com/video/RF5XOLdgVlw/video.html
What great actors do we have today because I don’t sort my movies alphabetically I sort mine by the actor and if the movie means something to me Wish you the best hope he gets better hands-down one of the greatest of all time
Possibly the best Western Movie since The Magnificent Seven. Val Kilmer??? A legend
i was at work, getting ready in the locker room for my shift like 20+yrs ago, and some guy asked someone if they had something, like deodorant, or extra socks, or whatever, and i said 'im your huckleberry'. that one line, & me and the guy became good friends for years.
Sounded like Morgan Freeman
909
I feel for the woman playing Wyatt's wife. That was her best scene they cut there.
I loved him in Tombstone. Best ever!
I worked in the Prop Department on Tombstone and got to see Michael do it live in front of the camera. I so wish the Director and Editors kept it as one take without cutting away to reactions of others. He was so good at it.
one of my favorite scenes. I almost felt like Ringo wanted Doc to put him out of his misery.
I wish he was still this healthy :(
These are not deleted scenes
What?
He gives credit to everyone else. He brought a classic character to life in large fashion and gives credit to everyone else.
That's really cool. Maybe he doesn't realize just how astonishing he was. He played a superhero.
Look Darling, Its Johnny Ringo!
"Say when." 🤠
Michael Biehn said that many , many minutes of footage where cut for this movie, which went into forming the characters personalities more. I'd love to see all of that in a directors cut.
Great show nobody could have played Doc Holiday better
Frank Stallone is great in this scene.
Val's character and personality and commitment made this movie phenomenal and utterly outstanding. It's up there with the good the bad and ugly. And that's saying something.
I have to agree. Michael Biehn's wild eyed look when he decides to fight, is one of the best changes of expression that I've ever seen on film.
Wow… Michael Biehn’s favourite movie scene. Great minds. 🤓
Val is a National treasure, he will be missed!!!
I didn’t even realise Johnny Ringo was Michael Biehn until I saw someone mention it in a YT comment recently. He is all hat and moustache tho. 😛
He’s clearly a talented human Biehn
When he imitated the old timey socialite speaking it reminded me a little of Trelawney from Red Dead Redemption 2, except he speaks at normal speed. Trelawney always sounds like he's hesitating and a little surprised, and everything he says sounds like an implied question.
His role of Johnny Ringo in Tombstone was legendary. And another great celebrity from Alabama.
His greatest roll imo
38k Subs! Congrats my Man, love these voicemails after most games as well 👍
WOW, he should have gotten an AWARD for this movie! John P.
The pope🎉🎉 fiesta
Doc Holiday and Jim Morrison were so glaringly good, I only have a few in mind who have come close. Daniel Day-Lewis is of the same ilk as Val Kilmer. He was a really great performer. He will be missed when he's gone. I'll always remember these performances. I'll never forget how Val Kilmer was. There were girls that used to call me "Val" because when I was young I looked a bit like Jim Morrison. I've always felt connected to Val. I got brotherly love for the guy. Iceman. Cool Navy aviator.
YEA IVE WATCHED THE MOVIE MANY TIMES, IT DOESENT GET OLD! 👍 ITS THA BEST 👌
everything about this man, is brilliant ✨💫✨💫✨💫✨
So much of a movie is made in the editing room. I agree these scenes were a good choice to leave out.
His expressive eyes and lips were so well done too. “If I thought we weren’t friends…I..don’t know what I’d do” with that absolutely droll look in his eyes lol so mocking and haughty
extremely overrated garbage especially Val
Man, Doc did her wrong. She's was loyal to him and had his back. I get that he wanted to die with honor in battle and that he said mean things to make it easier for her to move on. But that was a harsh thing to say to a woman that loyal.
Are you kidding me? He was nothing but a meal ticket to her. She had no love for him, keeping him awake at all hours, pushing him beyond the breaking point.
It's a shame no one or this movie never won an Oscar
I'm from Valdosta where Holliday was from. Val KILLS it!!! His accent is spot on for the "Old South" way of talking.
Character actors, have always interest me, they bring amusement and color to acting. Harry Dean Stanton, Powers Booth, chill Wills, Jack Palance Micheal Rooker
STILL one of the best "guy movies" out there. One of those when you see it's on, you go ahead and sit down and watch it like it's brand new.
2024
I watch this film, for Val Kilmer only!!!!!!!
