It's such a strong pressure on women to take HRT, I almost feel something's wrong with me since I don't feel I need anything to help me through this stage of life. Of course everyone who has bad experience should use it, that's what science should do - help people. But if I don't feel I need it I shouldn't be pressured by my gynecologist to use it.

I'm 68 years old, overweight, sedentary, with osteopenia. I got my cheaper version of a whole body vibration plate because I read that 10 minutes on it would replace an hour long walk. I've suddenly had issues with swelling, foot cramps, and blisters. Not to mention it's summer in Florida so my morning walk was getting almost unbearable for all those reasons. I've used the vibration plate twice daily for about a week now on the beginner 20 minute program. Swelling is gone. I don't get blisters, obviously. Minor joint pain is almost unnoticable. My balance is better and I hadn't realized that it was a problem but I feel like I walk like a dancer now. (You know how you can tell a dancer; they glide instead of just clomping and waddling along. LOL) I feel like I've taken a nice walk after I use the plate. My mood is even better. I just stand on it so far. I change positions slightly every minute when the bell chimes and I can feel the jiggle differently with each different "pose." I'll probably start going on my walks again soon, too, because I love walking and I even love getting my hot sweaty body into the cooooold shower afterward. Thanks for this evaluation of the controversy. I won't worry about harming myself.

Please don't chip away at the integrity of your platform with inflammatory titles, including words like "Inflammation Bomb." Did you even address Inflammation in this video? Have you ever shopped for organic/Non GMO soy foods? They're ubiquitous in US grocery stores in much of the country. Most soy products in grocery stores ARE organic/ Non GMO/Non glyphosate because that's what the consumers want. Throwing out blanket statements without doing the research isn't helpful. FYI: The majority of conventional, GMO, glyphosate-laden soy and corn actually gets fed to cattle, hogs, and chickens and in turn to the people who eat them.

Thank you for this information. It has been very helpful for me to hear. I took a 30 day Boniva pill in my early 50’s. I started breaking out in hives within 15 minutes and my throat was swelling shut. So I took a benydryl capsule and went immediately to the close hospital ER for help. I had to take Benadryl for 30 days every four hours. Also, my jaw started hurting. It was not a good medication for me. A very scary & awful experience. My physician advised that I never take another bone building drug because they are all cousins. Currently, I have been able to increase my bone health with diet, vitamins and exercises.

I've read many articles that say it is essential "along with" estadiol for osteoporosis therapies and is often not included in treatments. I took Diosgenin (Mexican wild yam extract) for many years due to low Progesterone for explosive PMS and miscarriages, worked like a god send, also provided a very mild menopause. Soon after menopause I replaced milk with organic soymilk with seaweed calcium added in and apparently that took care of my menopause symptoms. Lately however I've heard that soy phitates bind to calcium and many other minerals so I'm right now phasing it out for coconut milk. Not so happy about it as soymilk supplies complete proteins and almost as much as milk, that's why I really welcome these new videos -THANKS!! - to inform us about how organic soy products affect bone mass. I also read that a study compared genistein with HRT, and genistein helped build bone mass..

Thanks for another great video ... I'm lucky as in europe have access to organic tempeh and natto so that sorts the phytates ! I also have taken Femarelle for years ... DT56a isolate of soy not a phytoestrogen but acts as a SERM. Has some albeit weak evidence of acting on bone loss at the twice daily dose ... definitely helps some menopause symptoms and has some B vitamins added in. May be worth a look at for your follow up videos ? Thanks again for all you do

Do you know whether your bone density has improved with Femarelle? I am based in the UK and was thinking of using it.

@@tomris2810 I don't think this will build bone though in the trials that was shown but in very small numbers. I do believe it slowed down the normal rate of bone loss and helped hot flushes a bit so for me that was enough to continue it. I would consider it a small part of a large puzzle ... but as the advert says ... every little helps 😊

I love my LifePro vibration plate. I purchased the Rumblex but you don't need the additional movement options to help with osteoporosis or improvement in BMD. LifePro also offers free classes online . Thank you for your research

I went on a soy-based mail order high protein diet several years ago. The protein was all from soy. After being in menopause for several years I ended up having 2 menstrual periods. I quickly got off the diet. I do not recall, however, how much soy I was consuming.

Hi, I'm on HRT and would really like to know more about what happens if you consume soy products as well. What happens when you take oestradiol AND you drink soya milk regularly? Beneficial or not? Thank you so much 😊xx

I avoid soy (& flax, chick peas, etc.) like the plague. Years ago, after my menopause, I was eating soy daily... I developed swollen breasts and felt like I was getting my period (crampy abdomen)... stopped the soy, and those symptoms faded away in a week or two. On occasion since then, I've eaten foods containing flax (Mary's Gone Crackers, and granola I'd gotten) and while I didn't eat that much, noticed some subtle issues as well).

What does flax and chicken peas have to do with soy?

    • @skincraftorganicsllc8537

@@debra6671 flax actually has almost 3 times the phytoestrogens as soy... chick peas, are also very high. I will eat things containing them once in a blue moon (I'll eat a tiny bit of hummus if dining at a Middle Eastern restaurant, things like that).
