Not many property owners want to risk losing value on a house with the smell that most Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Afghani people leave in the carpets, wallpaper and anything else that absorbs the smell of burning spices. I was married to a Pakistani woman and when we moved out of our first property, we lost the bond (several thousand dollars). All the problems we left were HER FAULT. Spills on the carpet, burning all kinds of stuff in the pot to make food, cockroaches everywhere. Even now, when my son comes home from visiting his mother, we have to check his luggage for cockroaches. (There are no cockroaches where I live, it’s too cold for them). She was filthy to live with and her city was the filthiest place I have ever visited (Karachi). She had never done housework in her life (she grew up with servants).
