If I didn't absolutely ADORE & LOVE my little bunny , honestly I wouldn't have the patience to put up with the constant fur all over my apartment and hands from petting him , which I do constantly ! He's my best little friend so I just overlook it and tolerate it.....I LOVE HIM !

I built her a warm house (they placed in the otherwise empty cage) she doesn't use, either cause she doesn't know how or she doesn't like) Please tell me what I can do to keep her warm requiring zero input/maintenance from her owners. I don't know what type of housing rabbits are most likely to utilise

My 2 boys would fall out every spring and fall. They’d usually switch dominance too. They would separate themselves for a few days till they finally worked it out

Good points. We bonded 2 males after our first had the whole house, we don’t have any enclosures. My daughter kept the new bun in her room, and they spent hours outside in 2 separate enclosures next to each other. It took 6 months for them to bond but they eventually accepted one another. We didn’t do anything to bond them just let them take it at they own pace.

Great, but your rabbit is a dream. Seems you started with maybe a timid rabbit. Id like to see you with my rabbit who is the biggest asshole rabbit I have ever met. He bites, pisses on everything, rips my drywall out, destroys my wood floors, manages to fling his shit eight feet up my freshly painted walls, he bites and throws proper tantrums. His sister is the sweetest bunny.

We have a huge cage and I modified a guinea pig platform and carpeted the top so Clover can hop in and out of the cage freely. He loves having the freedom to be "safe" in his cage or out roaming whenever he chooses. I still have the area fenced off but he definitely has the entire living room. 😊 When I'm not home, he does go in the cage, but he's pretty chill about it (as long as he gets a treat before the door shuts 🤣). 💙

My Clover gets the zoomies and it's so freaking cute. Rabbits are definitely sprinters!! 😊

I've never heard of such a drastically increased risk of cancer in unspayed female rabbits. I only know of one study where 80% of female rabbits showed morphological anomalies. But that doesn't mean that's what they died from. Other studies report between 6 and 20% of female rabbits develop some form of uterine disease, again there's no mention of whether they die from them. Please point me to any research I might have missed! I know it's super common in English-speaking countries to spay and neuter all pets, but here in Germany we usually only neuter the males as it is far less invasive (ie. dangerous and expensive). Female rabbits are usually only spayed if there are any symptoms of relevant diseases or extreme behavioral problems. But there's a rising trend of "preventative spaying" so it would be interesting to find out if there's any concrete evidence for that. Anyway, there are also downsides to spaying rabbits as it can lead to osteoporosis and they become much less active which often lead to them becoming overweight.

I had two bucks that nearly killed each other when they first met, I let them bid first through plexiglass, then through a wired cage, eventually they were able to free roam together and now are totally inseparable❤

Thanks needs this am having a hard time bonding the two as one rabbit just went through a lose of a companion about 2 months ago and I hope I didn’t rush things when we got them but they are just really having a hard time bonding. Makes me sad to see them fight but sad to see them seperated away from each others comforts especially cause they had a good start and loved snuggling with each other.😢

My boy Mocha got sick one day, he was eating that morning but suddenly just wouldnt eat at night. the MAIN rule i go off of is "will your rabbit eat a treat?" if they do NOT go for their favorite treat, something is wrong. even if a rabbit is "full" they'd still nibble on a teat. also if theyre not responsive, moving their ears when you make a noise etc.! be safe out there bun parents!

I had 5 rabbits last year. suddenly in the span of 2 days, one of my rabbits got a weird abcess on her eye. she died the next day at the vet. they tried to bring her back but there was no chance. it was cancer. we buried her in our garden. I miss her very deeply.

I have so much to learn. My two girls were doing fine, then one day they started fighting. I barely reintroduced them into the same pen again and at night I heard a yip one time but they stopped when I got up and talked to them and I didn’t see any torn out fur. They seem ok together, is just at night I started to see what looked like chasing. When one would run, the other would dart behind her and they would stop and stare at each other. I can’t tell if they’re playing or getting tense around each other. Should I separate them at night?
