    Get that water retaining gravel off the top of your root ball top dressing gravel actually acts as a mulch that's probably the main cause of cactus rotting out is filling the pot all the way up to the top potted plants 101 says never fill the pot all the way up to the top if you can see your soil dry without the gravel in the way you'll know when it's time to water

    • @RareCactus
      @RareCactus Před 4 dny

      That’s interesting 🤔 I think it’s the sun that gives them color but do think watering from above every once in a while is also beneficial. It’s just that in some cases (high humidity or indoor growing) it’s best to water from below most times to avoid fungal infection.

    Even that _Selaginella_ is awesome to see. As others have said, I hope it remains safe. I’m from San Diego, California, and here we have a little "problem"-and also in Baja California+BC Sur-of Korean & Chinese visitors stealing millions if _Dudleya_ plants from the ocean cliffs. Some get caught. But others make thousands of $$ online. And _Dudleya_ don’t often transplant well, let alone ship well across the ocean. Apparently, the ones that survive shipping are being bred in Asia, so it’s not all bad. They’re just…not in California. Lol. I wish they’d just take seed pods.

Gracias por compartir tu experiencia pq creo que es muy importante que la gente esté consciente de lo difícil que es el traslado a cultivo para una planta extraída de su hábitat natural. Es mucho mejor comprar una que sea de cultivo que será mucho más adaptada al, y fuerte en cultivo. Saludos
