the salary in Switzerland (5000 chf) is not like in Japan, so that's why the price difference is also there
Thanks bro after seeing this I did that buy myself
So, there's no real difference.
Fantastic video
Ah, I wish I'd seen your video sooner. I'd seen others, all cautioning re: hairspring but they were using larger shifts of the regulator with a toothpick. I was disappointed with what I perceived as inaccuracy (12 s/d too fast) in my Orient Ray II so I got a time grapher, popped off the back and proceeded to overcorrect first one way, then the other and ended up nudging the beat error.too. I finally got it to + 17s/d --near where I started but worse -- and then slipped. The hairspring stopped dead, never to run again. Sigh. It's became something of a Zen lesson; I have some other watches "in spec" but less than I used to want and now I enjoy the variety!
I am a full time watchmaker for over 40 years. Lume has always been a pain in the butt to me. This vid gave me some great tips and I expect to use them next time and have a better result on my repairs. Thank you and good job.
hello, i regulate my watch to +4sec and 0.3 beat error while the diale down but when i put my watch on the table dial up then the regulation witll will change to +160sec and beat error to 1.7 ! can some body help please?
I have had many Seikos, all of them still working. I also recived as a gift, an Omega Speedmaster. It lays dead for repair, after 10 years of use. The cost of the repair is more than a new Seiko 5
Bro how do you calculate minutes since the 2nd time which I want to calculate is 10 hours 30 minutes before my local time. Which means I can glance at my watch tell you the hour but for minutes I have to calculate.
I am a pilot and I like the watch but with the bezel for timing things.
Where can I get a custom rotor?
lol i looked everywhere and now that i dont look for it i found the right video. thanks man you've helped me out a lot.
if anyone happens to watch this video because they are struggling quite a lot with the second hand and are pretty new- if your not 100% sure that it is the right way up then turn over the hand and try the other side. My second hand has a piece sticking out of it which made me think it was the bottom but it was actually the top which gave me about an hour and a half of trouble before mistakenly putting it on the other way around.
I have a problem with my screw pin braclet. When I try loosen the screw the screw on the other side moves as well and unable to remove its a smiths everest if that helps
Thank you!!! You just saved our project!!!😊
Great Channel Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Franky, I'm more impressed with what Seiko can do for $30.
A miserable process if the tool for opening does not fit the watch back. A completely un standardized industry just as garment sizing. All frustrating
Very good
Thank you for all the comprehensive information you provided - very clear and helpful. Maybe the companies who sell watches should do your job!
Now lets compare the aeiko spring drive on a GS.
sooo, this is coming to the store soon? vk67?
yuuup coming pretty soon
Great vid, Saved & Subbed- Thanks.
Just finished my first ever watch build with one of these using parts from AliExpress. The only problem i had was putting the second hand on 🤦😂. Worn it for 3 days now and around 15 secs fast but i don't mind.
Instead of a special tool, I actually just made it work using a SIM tool (from phone/sim) on my pins. Had to use some little pliers to pull out one of the particularly stubborn pins. The other just came the rest of the way out using my fingers.
Your nails look nasty! Take care of them pls
Can't wait to see the next video build.
Coming right up!
Were can i get a custim rotor
that's a lovely watch, where can i buy one from?
We'll have a kit with this movement pretty soon. Stay tuned!
i have a case with a rolex style caseback and its absolutely stuck.. any advice?
Hi, Thanks for the video. It's excellent! Question, what did you use to hold the hand while you cleaned it with the Dremel tool? Thanks.
Real question, can you still eat the eggs?
Not particularly helpful for reasons so many commenters pointed out. I spoke briefly with a watchmaker once and he said the ETA movement is significantly better than the Sellita. Unfortunately, the conversation ended and I didn't have a chance to ask him why. Something that's always annoyed me is that the same Sellita movement will be used in watches with widely varying price points. Many brands are, I think, getting by on past glories, i.e., their name recognition. No matter. Soon I will be attending the American Watch and Clock Association course (Watch 100) and hope to have a lot of my questions answered.
2 gram difference in weight - "less of a burden on your wrist". Oh, come ON!
Great vid, thx!
How do you see where it’s resting 😢😢😢 I can’t see shit
What a nonsense comparison…
Hi, my pin is in the watch the wrong way and will not come out. Im trying to secure it properly but since its the wrong way, the pin is sticking out the edge (because the correct end does not go through the hole). What should i do?
The Seiko is a great mechanism: swiss, meh! Get two great Sells vs one seems as needing much more sevicing!!
Is the hour hand post the same diameter all the way down to the dial?
Dude, you are comparing a $ 30 movement to a $ 200 movement. What do you expect?
I've just broke the second hand 😢😢😢
Moral of the story if you pay same price the japanese made watch is more efficient than swiss watch.
Picked a NIB SSK001 from AD for $302 OTD. Love it!
Existe compatibilidade de alguma máquina? Tipo: NH36 & ETA 7750?
I never buy a watch without screw back, all waterproof watches - 10Atm + have screw backs. (or case back with screws, as Casio)
I had the confidence to adjust the strap on a Seconda 30023 Velocity thanks to watching this tutorial. Thankyou!
I still don't understand the gmt hand. When setting it to local time why is the gmt hand where it was in this video???
the GMT marks the Hour on the ( 24 Hour ) BEZEL .
@@motorrebell Finally got it!
Or just ask Siri
these videos are amazing and super helpful makes me want to get into watch making as a hobby
