Hit and miss games. Last two, one was a win due to junk jet, the other match at MagicCon Amsterdam - complete dud. Basically, it suffers from the usual voltron woes - all eggs in one basket blowouts. Ive not experienced anything but low lows or high highs with it. What I am doing now is taking the energy precon from MH3 and creating a sideboard of cards to swap in from it so it can go from pure Fallout to higher powered. I'm putting small stickers into the cards that come out and go in to make that easier. I LOVE Liberty Prime and sometimes I want him to be able to achieve more and sometimes I just want this cool Fallout only pile of cards to play.

Not currently. Would be an interesting project to make this 1v1.

It's solid, spirals out of control quickly, you see a lot of cards which is always a joy in commander. The theme of artifact and enchantment creatures keeps it interesting as well.

Yeah, I missed that fourth counter. Such a powerful card.

Additionally if for some reason an enchantment on the board gives you an additional card draw- that adds an additional counter for a potential of 7 ingredient counters on it

I'm looking at rebuilding it with Muerra (keeping Bello in), with raccoon tribal shenanigans. Got the precon for my gf who loves her some good trash pandas, but still figuring out how best to capture that vibe. Was thinking about something food & treasure token based (ie trash to treasures dumpster diving), but I also saw an article about building it storm which sounded very interesting since Muerra can give you lots of mana for big turns if you can keep your cards rolling in.

@@jody-hehim5007 have you considered using the junk cards from Fallout? Actual trash to impulse draw. Depends if you want to keep it all Bloomburrow. Love the storm idea.

Hey, welcome to the game! Short answer - yes, more is more is fun and both of those cards can lead to a story of how you won with a 40 power creature! Longer answer - maybe. Out of the box, the counter theme is fairly unsupported and 'eggs in one basket' so taking a turn to cast either of those spells is putting you behind in an archetype that already puts you behind. With my upgrade suggestions, I can see a place for them and would take out the two advocate cards I suggested to fit them in. Doubling Season is super expensive - Primal Vigor (the Enchanting Tales version) is way cheaper and has fringe benefits in this deck - it effects everyone so you'd give someone two octopi with the Octomancer, an extra treasure with the Bloodroot Apothecary that they shouldn't crack etc. You made a good choice with this deck - steep learning curve but will grow with you over time. Enjoy!

I have an urge to build her from scratch using the crime mechanic. Bunny mob boss vibes. Tidal Barracuda is an excellent shout. Glad you liked the Galadriel suggestion, she is pricey but just the 'uumpth' the game plan needed.

Thanks, I loved putting it together. The idea hit me while looking at the preview and I've been obsessed since 😅. It's definitely a high powered budget friendly commander that will make a lot of people very happy. And I love that ❤

I am so here for this. The precon reviews that I've completed on the channel have really helped me as a player, being able to see the threads of a deck, what works, what doesn't, it's made me a better builder. My favourite build at the moment is my Liberty Prime pulled together from just the four Fallout precons. Working with a limited pool of cards is oddly freeing!

Yes! I love the influx of creature types - loads of new creature type decks are being born from this set.

I agree - I think Dogmeat could have been stronger with some of the cards from the other precons. I'm sorting my stream set up so I can do more of these and I shall keep Dogmeat on the list! Thanks for the sub and like - I still have the Liberty Prime deck in paper and it's become one of my favourites.

Yes, agreed. I can't see a decision where you don't just give the card. Being able to use the creature straight away vs it being stunned - have your card and hope it's a land 😂

It was a surprise to see Threshold return, I though, what is this, the early 2000's? 😂. Makes sense with self mill and the forage mechanic. Love a curve ball!

@FROGUESPLASH glad you enjoyed! Proud I persevered with the myriad tech problems and got it out there on day one. I plan to do more of this kind of video and totally down for live builds etc. Have lots of free time coming up 🙂

Thanks for this comment! Sorry I hadn't replied. Yes, some commanders suggest something they can't always back up based on the cards available to us and that 2nd ability is the place to build around with Eriette. Glad it inspired.

Thanks - that means a lot from a fellow Fallout fan! This is one of my favourite decks, which I have assembled in real life and it takes games out of nowhere, usually with Junk Jet. But mainly, I just like casting characters that mean a lot to me, while playing my favourite card game.

A good point. Turns taking forever is the reason I took my Obeka apart. I've been surprised recently at the amount of people playing Nadu at full power in casual games. Members of my play group have said it's all over Arena. I think I'm quite spoiled by having an established play group that's worked hard on the idea of what casual means so yet to face the never ending turns of an optimised Nadu build. Maybe Magic Con Amsterdam will change that 😬

Agreed. I'm pretty lucky, having a play group that's worked really hard on establishing rules that safeguard everyone's weekly trip to our LGS, to the extent, no one would want to sit down and pretend a deck is something it's not. A random pod - different story, I'm sure. But, it's beyond me why anyone would lie about a deck just to win a casual game. The worry is - can the deck building restriction I put on Nadu really restrict it's potential to make someones rule 0 presentation of it accurate?

I can imagine it's a hard sell for a random pod. This comes from someone who used to pilot Atraxa but as a sagas build. Players still saw Atraxa and painted a bullseye on my 40 life.

Yeah. I definitely mean my comment in regard to strangers. I’m lucky that I have a pod consisting of my roommates, so we know ourselves well and no one would lie about it. So I guess I have a foot in both worlds.

Yes, definitely the hardcore option. I went the rads route; I've seen what a Mesmeric Orb does to the pod's morale haha - would def. have it sleeved up ready to swap in for random pods though.
