Stop. The electric fans in Edmonton began leaving at the beginning of the third period. The electric fans of Edmonton were dead silent through most of the second period. The electric fans of Edmonton have been in denial since the series began, finding every excuse for why their team is losing besides the pathetic effort of their team. The Oilers had only a sliver of a chance of winning a game in this series because the hockey gods gifted them a second goal on a shot that was two-feet wide of the net that then hits Montour and somehow flip-flops into the net. Otherwise, the only two 5-on-5 goals Edmonton has scored in the series would have made it a 4-2 game.

I’m my opinion. The oilers showing the strength they did in the final minutes shows why they truly don’t deserve the cup. Where the hell was that intensity in games one and two? You can pour it on all you want after it’s too late and it makes no difference.

Then they have Montour and Ekblad who are as they have always been. They have 4 offensive lines that are playing great team and individual defense. They have defensive monsters like Barkov, Reinhart, Lundell, Luostarinen. Then there is Bobrovsky. There are no weakspots anywhere on that team.
