the only spot i was like wtf on the last vid is where you lost me again here 2:00 or so. i have rustserver and rust on the same drive so it didnt matter. BUT you keep saying "where you have RUST installed", and seems like you meant where you have RUSTSERVER installed(or about to install it). that makes more sense than RUST. hence the name of the folder c:\ *RUSTSERVER* \. thanks for the refresher though. its been years since i installed rust server stuff and your vid worked for me first time :)
This isnt working for me everything else was fine but at the last part I enter f1 console and do the commands then it connects me to a server that has 222/500 people??? and it doesnt load it says connect on the server idk???

This shouldn’t be happening. Ensure you don’t change a single value in the server files, and that you connect with F1 console. Use “quit” in the cmd for the server when you’re ready to stop it.

I followed your instructions exactly and it doesn't work. The CMD prompt looks weird, text is scattered everywhere. You seem to have left out some major things, like where does your Steam ID go? How do you properly shut down a server so you can start it again without building a new world? How do you properly install Oxide? I haven't found any tutorial that is comprehensive and up to date. I last set up a Rust server 2 years ago and it worked, but I really don't remember what I did.
Wait, it does work despite the CMD looking weird and error messages. But it would be nice to know how to shut down and start the server without wiping, and how to get Oxide installed
Hi! I’ve noticed as rust changes the game, the process varies a bit. The CMD will be scattered, it’s pretty much running the same code as if you were loading into a server, it is expected to show errors and random, info, that’s normal. I have information on installing oxide in my discord under the FAQ channel. Before you install, verify your rust game files, and ensure you follow the tutorial to the exact process.

But dose recording true Rust Remove UI even modded UI ?
Modded UI will overlap the cinematic recording, so I suggest disabling those mods first! I record on a vanilla server for all my purposes.
im having trouble with downloading this steamcmd can someone please help me i cant find it in my folders?
Ensure you use the find in folder on the browser download menu to figure out where it is. I suggest using lots of organized folders for this stuff!
i cant conect to my server and when i try to reconnect to my server it says: reconnect_error_no_address. what did i do wrong?
Use “disconnect” in the f1 console to leave the server and you MUST use client.connect localhost:28015 to reconnect to the server.
AND MY QUESTION FOR THE SEVER IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO SHARE IT WITH A FRIEND THAN PORT FORWARDING

Update: well, It didn't ban me for that and I got all the achievements that I could do on my own
Haha well it won’t show up on an official server, but yeah you can do that. It’s an exploit so technically bannable, but they likely don’t care and can’t tell.

No. Console doesn’t have these private servers for free.
What is going on with your audio? It's going from loud and clear to barely audible 2:14 into the video. Keeps on doing so throughout the video.
There may be an issue with your browser or computer. The audio is fine, but CZcams can glitch out. Restart your browser.
Is it normal for it to say 0b/s in and 0b/s out? Followed the walkthrough but got to running the server and it’s stuck like this.
Where is it displaying this? I presume this is the server display, but where are you seeing these values? It runs off your computer so if your computer is running a slower drive or has network issues, it can affect how the server performs.
my server wont boot after i add the oxide mod file to mod my server but when i dont try to mod it the server works fine
You will have to run a file that will overwrite some folders in the server. I have some info in my discord under #faq about this :)

“Spawn player” you can down them to add items and revive them,

Every server you join from client.connect is Amsterdam II with 223/500 pop.

Make sure you delete all the servers and whatnot and try from the beginning, verify your rust game files on steam too!

When I tippe in force_install_div"c: ustserver\" and I press enter it just said Command not found: force_install_div
