I have been to Shanghai and Peking. They destroyed every old libraries, temples, nothing is there. We in India have everything, modern areas along with the old areas.

Qantas airline ( Australia ) officially insisted all their flight crews NOT to consume any street food in India , and recommend No ice in their cold drink even in their 5 Star hotel ! any other country the company have NO issue , ONLY for INDIA and the neighbor city . becuse it's too troublesome to replace / change crew member for their schedule flights . I notice in all the travel blog there are NO / little amount of tourist bus in the main tourist area , Also no Asian tourist in the street / city . because majority of whole Asian don't travel to India for their vacation and that's a fact ! unless for business .

China was a poor country back in 2000s and before(of course the economy is much better now). Because of that, many Chinese residents who are older than about 30 years old may not have device to learn the pronouncation and listening of English by hearing English recordings when they were in school...They call themself "deaf and mute in English" for self-mockery. However, they may be able to read English... Younger generation in China like me may have a higher chance to be able to communicate with you in English, but most of us have the work to do almost everyday, so you are hard to find us in the street. Most white collars in China have heavy work to do and have to work overtime, this is one of the bad things in China for now...

I’m Chinese and I had a ten days trip to India in 2019, I went to the north part of India, Delhi Agra Varanasi Jaipur Udaipur. I really enjoyed my trip there despite the outside temperature was over 40 degrees in May. India has long history which left magnificent architecture to the country. Most of people I met there are very friendly, and I like the Indian cuisines (but I had meals only in the hotels or proper restaurants). To be honest, the hygiene could be improved in some public areas, but overall, I still think it’s a good destination to be visited, and for sure I’ll have my second trip to India if I have any chance. And plz don’t compare India with China, yes we are all developing countries with vast populations and long history, but each country has its unique culture background and way of development, there’s no need to make a comparison. Wish both of us becomes better and better and welcome more Indians to visit China.

Actually, if you visit some sites in Xinjiang, which is very close to the borderline, no matter whether you are Chinese or not, you need to have permission. Otherwise, you are not allowed to pass those specific areas.

I am an Indian and I agree that India is nowhere near clean. Some big cities that too specific areas are clean otherwise mostly its people throwing thrash and spitting and no civic sense .... People are very nice and not sure why they get over excited seeing white people and want selfies with them.. Thats just cheap and alien.. Comparing to China is waste in terms of progress. India will take another 100 years to come to where China is in terms of modernization... India has great talent, good family values and are able to manage very well with limited resources and such high population.. But lets accept the fact,, Indian cities only form a small fraction of the country and most of the country is under developed. It can be called developing but comparing it with developed countries like US, China, England and the likes is comparing apples and oranges...

It’s funny you mention ppl in China will talk to you in Chinese even after knowing you don’t understand, however, that’s normal anywhere in the world. After all it is the only language they know. If I was in Germany and approached you speaking in Mandarin or Cantonese asking for directions, you would probably do the same.😂

I don't understand why people are blown away by the modern infrastructure in China. North Korea has amazing architecture too and really wide and clean streets too. Despotic countries have some of the most amazing architecture because they can spend other people's money however way they want. They treat the country like it's their own living room.
