SEMA Build July 2024 Update

Really nice swap design guys! A divorced Tesla LDU is exactly along the lines I was thinking for my project. Would you guys consider selling the LDU drive unit and inverter exactly like this...inclusive of the inverter relocation kit? Minus any HV lines of course since they'll be specific to the project. I would be very interested in purchasing if you can do that.

RPM is useless in a single speed gear box drive train. It will track the speedometer. When the speedo is at 50% the RPM will be at 50%. Meanwhile current tells you how your using your power.

Thanks for stopping by the channel. The best part about swapping the batteries is it’s really just taking out bolts, making sure you do it safely so the pack won’t fall on you, putting a new pack in, reinstalling the bolts and having someone reprogram the pack. It’s not an approved process from Tesla or something we recommend anyone to do on their own, so we actually are intentionally not giving a full step by step because although it’s pretty simple, it CAN be dangerous. There’s a more in depth video here, but turning a wrench isn’t that tough or complicated so you probably still won’t be that impressed. Hi. I drive an older 2018 Long Range rear wheel drive model 3. The rear drive unit is giving me an error code: DIR_a149. I’ve been to Tesla service before and they topped up my coolant. Fortunately I’m still under warranty. But the error returned. Just a heads up that we may have an issue with high mileage model 3s
That' seems so wrong. If the coolant was low, it had to have leaked somewhere. If it is in the motor that 's huge trouble.
@@NackDSP update: the second time I took the car in, a tech identified my problem and sent a picture showing rodent damage. They chewed through my coolant lines and into my high voltage cables. I had to replace a wiring harness and coolant lines.
