He also runs French Market Press, a label releasing noise from his milieu in oversized handmade packaging in very small editions. Love the interview. Hurts a bit to watch it. Joe and Roger working together in the 90s was an incredible synthesis that produced PROBABLY the best American noise at the time, and for a good amount of time afterward. The rebooted Macronympha has been great, Stella's solo stuff was always incredible, and of course the work they did together was, yes, legendary. Wish the final split after nff didn't happen but it did and there's a good chance what came out of their union couldn't have come out at any other time under any other circumstances. I think I have more Macronympha and Macro adjacent shit in my collection than any other project, and Macronymha - both then and now - is absolutely one of the top noise projects to ever exist. NOTHING MORE POWERFUL.
