My partner said that her sister had tickets to this show and couldnt go. I looked up what it was about and said "Grown men on roller skates pretending to be trains isn`t my idea of a good night out. I went protesting all the way. We sat down and these electronic line following trains started scooting around the stage while the audience filtered in. the lights slowly faded ,and the electronic trains exited down the tunnels and the skaters came out.... WOW!! I was blown away! It was so good we bought tickets for the next nights show. To think I nearly missed it.

What ever happened to Bobby Collins’s. Has he done other shows besides Starlight Express?

It’s my first time to watch musical stage in Japan when childhood, and even now it sometime come up wonderful memories…🥰

Here me out, I believe this song could have given the show so much plot and depth to the story. CB is a two face right? At least that's how I understood this character at first, so what if he took a little inspiration from Iago from the play Othello, and set Dinah up for sabotage so he could get her to himself? I like to believe it would result in why the rest of the railway yard tells her to "shut it" in the rap scene. Amongst other things, bringing this to the story would make it inventive and interesting. From my understanding however I believe they cut it because it slowed the pace of the show and didn't mix with the megamix. Please let me know what you think about this.

I saw the Broadway version first, which I loved a lot, then saw the Australian version in Japan, which was by far the best! It was performed in the large arena so the stage was surrounded by the audience (360 degrees). They skated more freely and the races looked more realistic and exciting. The entire cast was great, especially I loved Bobby and Nikki's performances. They were so cute on and off stage (there was a documentary about the tour on Japanese TV). I was so impressed that I went to see it 3 times. I still have the CD set I bought then.

if there was a 1990s animated movie based on Starlight Express, Eddie Deezen or Charles Nelson Reilly would be perfect as C.B.

first time listening to this version and not michael staniforth’s! i feel like this caboose has a little less energy, but he has a solid voice, and i think its neat how the song starts with a bunch of pop culture allusions. also 1:15 and 1:31 are both really awesome moments vocally in my opinion
