👍👍👍 Yeah? it's a good tutorial. But this tempo edit works when you create the drums session separately. But how to link it with host tempo??? I have a project in my DAW with few instruments, but a tempo of midi copied to SD3 in 1 point slows down. I have created the edit point with tempo increasing but it works when the "follow host" button is off but in this case Superior does not play together with host? it paused. If you link the Superior with host it follows to host tempo and all your edit unusable...

Great video as always, really helpful 👍👍 I can't understand the drum map concept: when I drag and drop a pattern the kick hit is converted to open, and I can't find it even trying to create a new map from scratch. Any suggestions? I both program and play with a Roland TD-50 with positional sensing configured in SD3 zones

This library sounds great. I’m sure I heard a lot of artefacts and clicking at points in the video.

Hi Mike! I hope you are doing great my friend! :) I was wondering if there is a way to have MIDI be triggered out of Superior Drummer 3 Grid Editor and into a different VST in one's DAW? I want to make use of the Superior Drummer *Grid Editor* to record MIDI (helps dial in the articulations better) and have it trigger my other VSTs while I record in Superior Drummer Grid Editor. I have tried linking stuff in Logic 11 Midi environment to no avail. I know of multiple ways to combine stacks to play this setup but that means I am recording MIDI in my DAW track instead of Superior Drummer. Thank you :)

The biggest plus with Addictive Drums if the fact that you can effect each track within the plugin. There's no need to create a drum map which adds an additional 10 or 15 tracks to your mix. I absolutely LOVE this feature. Compression, velocity, room mics and more...they're all right there within the plugin....one and done!

It just sounds like you added a bunch of ambient and room noise.... You could have just turned those faders up and got the same result.

hi Mike thanks for the video. i have question im facing please. i recently bought presets of Gavin Harrison for Superior drummer 3 the problem is when i connect my Edrums most of instruments are mixed up and i was wonder is there any way i can copy the presets with it mixer and stuff so i could create new drum set based on the old presets thank you indeed.

They really should've made this an SDX instead. They could've called it the grunge foundry. Nirvana, Helmet, Prong, Radiohead etc. They really missed out on Steve's potential.

I use HDD for superior drummer 3 and it works with no issue , but I use a lot of vst’s each session and I wouldn’t use a bunch off an HDD at one time that will definitely bottleneck I’ve been using an m2 and ssd for the rest

After a recommendation from a friend I decided to get myself the "Progressive Foundry" SDX and goddamn, is it easy to get a good classic heavy metal tone out of it even with just the raw sounds and very little FX work. The depth in the sampling of the kicks isn't quite there, but the snares and toms and cymbals are just very lively in the best of ways.

SD3 is rarely on sale, and when it does, it's never a huge sale. EZ doesn't really go on sale at all, they only include a "free" pack as part of their sales. At least AD2 has massive sales.

Snare on SS4, Kick on SD3

This superior drummer pack was made to sound exactly like metallica drums so of course its going to sound better.
