MASSIVE shame this was shut down. I would have LOVED to have seen a Randomizer hit this. Link's Awakening DX HD is honestly all we needed for the Switch version (though, I enjoyed what they gave us). I'm just such a sucker for the original. It's my favorite game ever, and Link's Awakening DX HD is so beautiful and hits all the nostalgia feels that I need, haha

Lol - I just ordered a pink Japanese DSi - I mean just like two days ago. Hope mine arrives quickly as well. You can change it to English through modding which I may do to mine but then again there really isn't much point and I do have a few Japanese games. A couple of the Pokemon games and Elite Beat Agents as well as a Naruto game are in Japanese in my collection and I can use an R4 to run my other games on it. I made the mistake of trading my launch DSi for the DSi XL when it came out so I'm looking forward to getting my pink one. The only other DS model I'm missing from my collection is the 2DS though I do have the 2DS XL.

Another Great Treasure! Yes, the Blue model was a later release. I remember when they announced it, I had the Black one and thought about getting a second in the blue. Elite Beat Agent was the BOMB. I did import a copy of Ouenden after you talked about it on DSR. :D I think its the first game I imported (cant even remember any others). I agree that these are probably the last great, and truly Pocket-able, Gaming systems. I can fit a Switch in my Pocket if I do a little shuffle to get it to slide in, but it sure isn't comfortable. So yes, these are a relic of a better time. Anyway keep making these classic memories. :)

Just picked one up. You're right about the old nintendo thermal paper. Doesn't really work but the paper that was recommended works like a charm. It is also a bitch to load. But pretty impressive for something back in the day.

Just a bit of feedback, it takes you quite a while to get to the point in the video, and there is a lot of deadspace. It seems like you're trying to take YT seriously from what your channel looks like (tip of the hat to you). Just figured some minor editing/cutting to this video would make it a lot stronger of a video. Seems like you're the first to talk about this version on the Steamdeck too. So you have the right ideas in mind.

It looks so good on the OLED. Also, regarding why Nintendo is so protective compared to SEGA when it comes to fan games and stuff, A lawyer called Moon Channel made a pair of videos that details why Nintendo is overly protective of their IP.

I'm in no rush to upgrade my new oled 512gb probably wait a year have no old lcd Steam Deck. Bought two 512gb SD cards in Black Friday Sale only £25 each will store my old games on them. Plenty of room on the 512gb SSD anyway.
