    The RS... Ummm.... Units you're inner off those guys that needs that extra attention.. Beyond what a Touring or S/T..i don't see the point for a street car. Are you one of those guys into "riving up" a car FOR THE STREET?? Then maybe the RS is for you.... And what were we really paying for over a Carrera S? A 2025 Carrera GTS??     Why do people who clearly can't drive think that they can review cars? This scribbler missed every Alex, braked when there was no need and was always in such a low gear, that at the speed driven the car was unbalanced.

    Great vid- 3RS is a definitely a car that challenges drivers but the elephant in the room that Richard touched on is really cost. Many who are well heeled enough to track the 992 3RS 10 times a year with a trainer have worked out it is cheaper, safer, faster and therefore more entertaining to do the same thing in a 991 cup car on slicks. Unfortunately this leaves very few guys to track the 992 3RS 10 times a year and therefore it is indeed a car that is too much for their respective owners with the exception on a few rare individuals who have coin and genuine track talent. Some say that is a mistake by Porsche but 1. It is making them money; 2. It has lifted the brand; 3. It funnels the well heeled into Porsche Motorsport.

    Very,very good video. I am taking my RS to the Nürburgring and Spa in September . I have done this with my three previous cars, 991RS, 997.1RS and 997.2RS. Clearly will have to think about how far to push and my instinct is to stay well with limits. I am not trying to find ou the limits of the car. The limit is the driver., and this car seems to be a lot different from its ancestors.

    Thankfully the rear wing can also be a nice flat stable surface on which you can rest a hot coffee. Burning your fingers is never pleasant.

    90 percent of us buy cars for bragging rights, we just don't have the ability to push the limit of the cars we own. Ultimately I think the majority of us would be just fine with a base model Carrera with a manual box and have as much if not more fun on a daily basis in a base car.

      That is the brutal truth. There's a lot of ego massaging with the sale of sports cars and most of us are happy to go along with the fiction that buying one will transform us into a driving god.

    At the end of the day, this is not a real problem unless you're driving in a series. Who cares? It's the difference between a race driver or a casual track driver. I love my car I drive it as fast as I can in it and love it, i don't go home crying saying I'm not a professional racer I'm not fast enough what am i gonna do, im not gonna sleep tonite. It's a video for the sake of a video.

    Thanks for speaking the truth. 90% of track day drivers can't get to the right tire pressures over the course of a run (I know I can't)... and yet this RS has its owners fawning over compression rebound and diff settings ad nauseum... In an alternate universe Porsche could've shown us a masterclass in "less is more" ... and arguably that would've been a more relatable product for the masses too.

      It's a real life discussion point, from someone that supports owners at the track. He constantly says the car is fantastic, there is no criticism of the car. The point is the seasoned track driver now needs training to push the limits in the new car, and will they invest time and money in changing their driving.

    Lambda1 sucks (too lean), integral water pump (inside block) is stupid, more weight sucks, more complexity sucks, no manual (yet) sucks, push button start sucks, big price increase sucks, not THAT much faster than .1, digital gauges suck, and they are charging for colors now! Did I miss anything? I'm glad I have a manual 992.1.

    Just imaging myself getting in the drivers seat of this new gen 911and at first glance, staring at a blank flat screen in the dash. Secondly, "pushing" the new "PTS" (push to start) button just seems so universal and depletes the aura and distinctiveness of driving an iconic sports car such as the 911. Just my opinion...

    Not so great from .1 version... all i hear is mixed reviews, which is a good thing for both owners for current and new cars .. one final thought is, it all depends on which model you have ..how much of a change is happening to your car type

    Tell you what no one is probably talking about. Try tuning this thing. You’d have to hack the electric drive to match the updates on the ecu tuning(if you even can).

    My understanding is that the 3.6 liter engine in the new hybrid (like the 4.0 liter in the 718 GTS and GT4) is based on the 3.0 liter Carrera engine.
