Exploring New Technology To Personalize Therapy Beyond Standard Approaches
The Appendix Cancer PMP Research Foundation (ACPMP) is pleased to announce an opportunity for patients to participate in testing a potentially groundbreaking technology. Travera's mission is to bring hope to cancer patients who are running out of therapeutic options. Travera is offering its 2-day Rapid Therapy Selection™ test to patients with appendiceal and peritoneal cancers free of charge to help in their efforts to establish more treatment options and outcomes data.
Travera is doing work in appendiceal cancer as part of its larger focus on other gastrointestinal cancers and gynecologic cancers. They are assisting oncologists in selecting treatments for their patients using a revolutionary cancer therapy selection test that predicts which cancer drugs are most likely to be effective for each cancer patient, a potentially valuable tool for patients with rare or advanced diseases. This novel technology invented at MIT has overcome the problems that have prevented the many previous generations of therapy selection tests from being effective in clinical practice.
If you’d like to learn more about testing and potentially initiate the testing process prior to the webinar, you can follow this link to learn more. Here is a brief description of the test to get you started: czcams.com/video/REzqlDYPeIw/video.html.

I have a question for the doctor, My appendix ruptured and the doctors. Just put a drain in about ten days later to clean it out. They never operated yet, they were just draining all the buildup. I got operated on three months later september eighteenth that just passed. They sent that appendix off for testing and it came back with goblet's cell carcinoma. And then a month later they went and did anothey're dry and took out some tissues and some Lymph nodes. And now they want me to do chemotherapy. They say the cancer is stage two type three. Now I'm i'm dumb on this topic. But since they cleaned up all the tissue and lymph nodes and there was nothing there. But they found traces of cancer in the lymph node connectors what happens now? Do I have to do chemo?

Thanks 🙏🏽

Hi Musashi, unfortunately, we have all been waiting for the BroMac trial to come over the US for about 2 years now... I would reach out to Sarah Valle, RN to see if there is a recently updated timeline for the trial -- Email: sarah.valle@health.nsw.gov.au and phone #: (+612) 9113 2070. In the meantime, I would highly encourage you and your uncle to consider looking into other clinical trial options. ACPMP's Executive Director, Deborah Shelton, works with patients to help them figure out if there are any trials that would be worth pursuing. You can reach out to her directly at deborahs@acpmp.org and see a list of current trials at acpmp.org/patients/clinical-trials/. There are lots of tumor agnostic trials based on genetic mutations that Deborah is following, so if she has the genetic testing results, she may be able to identify something worth checking out! Also consider reaching out to Dr. Raoof at City of Hope to learn more about the PIPAC trial happening there (available in California, New York, Florida and some locations in Europe) as it is available to appendix cancer patients: clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04329494. Link to the webinar with Dr. Raoof presenting about this trial: acpmp.org/webinars/. You would need to reach out to Wake Forest about your question above.

There is currently no known cause for appendix cancer/PMP, therefore there are directly no known linked reasons related to recurrence. Recurrence rates can be based upon a patient's tumor type, success of their CRS/HIPEC surgery, and other factors. However, we do encourage you to watch this video which you may find helpful regarding nutrition: czcams.com/video/DludwCfrOoc/video.html. We also recommend reaching out to your specialist's care team to discuss any of this in more detail!

@@pmprf I have this disease. I have a question. When u have a mucin producing tumor what is actually growing that kills you? The tumor itself is growing, or does the volume of mucin kill you? How does the rate of growth of the actual tumor compare to the rate in mucin accumulation. From my understanding not all mucin is cancerous, it depends case by case. I have had this for 15 years, appendicectomy was done in 2009. Found out i have pmp in 2020. So 11 years had no idea. Now watch and wait as its growing extremely slowly.,

HIV continues to be a major global public health issue, having claimed almost 33 million lives so far. However, with increasing access to effective HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care, including for opportunistic infections, HIV infection has become a manageable chronic health condition, enabling people living with HIV to lead long and healthy lives. There were an estimated 38.0 million people living with HIV at the end of 2019. As a result of concerted international efforts to respond to HIV, coverage of services has been steadily increasing. In 2019, 68% of adults and 53% of children living with HIV globally were receiving lifelong antiretroviral therapy (ART). A great majority (85%) of pregnant and breastfeeding women living with HIV also received ART, which not only protects their health, but also ensures prevention of HIV transmission to their newborns. 3 years ago I decided to have an ultra sound to determine why I suffered such debilitating menstrual cramps, my gyn only found a very small ovarian cyst and sent me on my way with some Advil. a year later I started having chronic urinary type infections and on the 3rd visit was told I had a huge fibroid or cyst. I immediately had another ultra sound and found the cyst had grown to 7.5 centimeters. My gyn than wanted to do immediate surgery and explained that if they can't drain it that most likely I would need a hysterectomy. When I asked why and how cyst occur, his only answer was that it is complicated. So I went home got on the Internet reviewed hundreds of web sites and found no reasonable explanation for cyst formation until coming upon a testimony on how Dr. Gadagodo cured a woman from the ovarian cyst. At this point I was in chronic pain from the cyst pressing against my bladder, and had developed chronic odor in my urine for 6 months that even the antibiotics could not cure. I contacted Dr. Gadagodo and he told me that his herbal medicine can get rid of the cyst. I ordered for the herbs and he prepared it and sent it to me through UPS Delivery service and I got it after 5 working days because i was in North California. My name is Diane and I am a 6 year breast cancer survivor. My story began November 2014 when I felt a slight burning sensation in my right breast. I was working as a daycare provider and neglected to do anything, hoping the burning sensation was temporary. On New Years Eve, 2011, the pain was so severe that I scheduled a mammogram the first week of 2015. A few days after I received a letter telling me to return for a second test. A few more days passed and I received a letter telling me that there were suspicious findings on my film that needed further testing. My previous mammogram had been in October 2011. What could possibly be wrong? I had nowhere to turn. I did not know what to do because the place that did the mammogram only told me to ask my primary care doctor. At that time I did not have a primary doctor. I called my older sister and she told me to go to a gynecologist. I explained the situation to the gynecologist and immediately she found a doctor to give me a biopsy which i did and it was all to no avail until I met a old time high school mate friend Dana who is a survivor who introduced me to a Pythothrapist DR HARVEY to God alone i give all the glory and I'm forever grateful to DR HARVEY for being a hand of God in my life....He cured me with his natural herbs and roots today I'm a living testimony. Do not die in silence contact DR HARVEY today VIA EMAIL:[Drharveyphytotherapy@yahoo.com] WHATSAPP:+19716663103 He cures all types of cancers and all diseases with his natural herbs.

It was a great video of explaining how we need better data. Explanation from Colon Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Paraneal Cancer, Sarcoma in Abdomen. Survival advantages and not. He said he's a natural skeptical and has faith. As Dr.Hantel said he's "as medical Oncologist thinks outside of the box". So true! In the short time from the video as a patient I have faith too. Scientists come a long way and so has the Oncologist. I applaud you and congratulate all involved to save lives! We love you for all your hard work in especially the pandemic time. God Bless all of you and keep you safe from any harm.
