Yeah, I figure this theme is more for the audience's pleasure. Of course the Rains of Castamere is not an in-universe song yet, but viewers still associate it with House Lannister.

It's possible in ASOIAF canon the melody is much older than The Rains of Castamere lyrics. At least that's what I tell myself.

Might still work in-universe, it could be that the tune or melody is a much older piece of Westerlands music, and the Rains of Castamere just took an existing piece of music and added lyrics to it.

Yea it’s too far , but the scene it self doesn’t really make sense. She’s the one blockading and starving the people. How is sending scraps of food help her the people to her side.

​@@Tdruaepx it's the same thing that the tyrells did. Starved the city when they supported renly. Then gave food when they supported Joffrey. And suddenly the people loved margaery

@@omkarhegde8229 Margaery is not the leader of the opposing faction or the rival claimant. KL was not chanting “long live the tyrells while starving and rioting”. Your talking about way after the tyrells switched sides and help save kings landing from Stannis’s attack on the city. And as for it being the same actually it’s worse because what’s different from got , is the food shortage made sense ,all of those areas in got surrounded KL by land and sea . This is the opposite as tyrells are neutral during this war , Borros/stormlands and oldtown and the westerlands support the greens . So The blockade would effectively do no real harm to kings landing nor would it realistically cause the city to starve. When it has multiple trade routes and even other ports such as oldtown.

@@Tdruaepx some of the houses in the reach declared for rhaenyra. I don't remember which house but one of those control the main road to king's landing.
