All three times she turned around to face Vhagar killed me inside. She was tired. Meleys knew it. She lost her kids, due to her husband's political desires, while also cheating on her. She must also feel responsible for not killing Aegon and Aemond when she had the chance. She had so much sadness on her face when fighting. I feel like in a way she wanted to loose.

I agree with everything except for the last part. I don’t think she wanted to lose, I think she was placing all her bets on her experience as a better rider to be able to end the war quickly, Sunfyre was down, now the only real advantage the Greens have is Vhaegar. The blood of the dragon runs hot, and not even Rhaenys is immune to making an impulsive decision or two
Did she want to die this way? Or did she think she had no other choice but try to bring Aemond down, assuming Aegon had just died, to truly end the war?
@@Lethal_GigglesThat first clash one on one with Melys and Vhagar, without Sunfire; Melys was certainly holding her own. Vhagar doesn’t have the close quarter speed and agility. I think Aemond saw this and that’s why he played dirty, like with Lucerys. She didn’t deserve to lose to dirty fighting.
The fact that their previous riders were married and loved each other so much makes everything even sadder.
I couldn't help but tear in the scene, I mean Aemond killed mercilessly the very dragon that cradled his father as a baby, I just can't.

Meleys was good dragon but Vhagar, beyond her power, was too huge and strong. RIP her with Rhaenys
Vhagar had plot armor. She should have been to slow for Meleys and should have taken a lot of damage from her fall. Besides other things that shouldn't have happened as it happened
Don't take away the credit from Aemond from the skill needed to control such a "huge" dragon despite it's weaknesses and vulnurability. Big dragons are often easy bait to more agile dragons.
@@xXToraKobayashiXxnah! Vhagar has the most experience in war. Like even more than balerion the black dread. She is one of 3 dragons that conquered. Fought many dornish wars for about 70 years.
@@Noone91875 aemond is able to control vaghar really well tho he is like visenya all over again and keep in mind everything that vaghar knows visenya taught him like that sneak attack for example aemond knows how to exploit it
@@DarklotusDD2 I think in that scene vs luke he is conflicted. His inner thoughts were different from what he did in that chase. So vhagar acts on his inner thoughts. Same as lucerys. But here everything was straightforward. He goes for the kill. No holding back.

Though smaller, meleys gave grandma Vhagar a run for her money, i wish Rhaenys wouldn't have given into the blood of the dragon, RIP.
If another dragon was there vhagar would've died tho. If Vermithor had been there they'd have torn vhagar to pieces. Or even Daemon and Caraxes.

@@DarklotusDD2 meleys was already giving vhagar an equal fight and got the better of her a few times, vhagar won due to ambush if another large dragon was there they'd have torn vhagar apart, Vermithor is almost as large and I still don't understand how her bones didn't break when she landed from that huge fall at such speed
@@Drmanhattan-ij6ir i still dont undrastand how you all getting mad at veghar not breaking his leg on the fall but being so certain that daemon survived a 300 feet fall when he faced vehgar from what i see you just want thing to go your way and if they dont you are adissapointed maybe go watch something else then

@@Drmanhattan-ij6irAn equal fight ? Meleys’ talons barely scratched Vhagar, only wounded her lightly. Her only disadvantage is being less agile due to her size but since she is a war dragon she knows how to sneak. Daemon himself said they need to be a duo to take Vhagar out

I appreciate Ramin for the beginning of this, and making Melys' death simple and silent, but I wish we'd had a version of the beginning when they fell together. Is it just me, or was it anticlimactic/a letdown? It was enough that mid tears I was noticing how much it was lacking, and not driving the absolute despair of that scene. Maybe he shoulda gone full silence, to respect it too, since the image of her falling was powerful on its own. Someone talk to me about it, I have no friends who care lmao
EDIT: I stand by the earlier comment but just realized how he incorporated the Targaryen theme into this; not only is it in the background, backing up her tragic theme in the beginning, but the Targaryen theme is two notes right? Down, then up, denoting an almost kind of hope or power? (I'm not musical, don't @ me), and her's is up then down, denoting tragic duty (in my ears/patterns of other times this structure is used). And that's fuckin cool. I know she's Valeryion and not Targeryen, but it's still such a cool concept of the dragon blood that runs in all of them, and the power in that, and the history in that too.
I totally agree, however Rhaenys is a targaryen by her father and baratheon by her mother, so she's still a targaryen by blood in all aspects that matter❤

Totally alright.😂 anyone is allowed their preferences. People will hate Vhagar because she's the bad guy's dragon, if she were on their good side, they'd sheer up😂 people are hypocritical af. I love all the dragons, Vhagar is a badass, but everyone meets death in battle, even the strongest

Rhaenys is kinda….
Rhaenys' pathatic face was too much. even with it, I didn't feel attached to her character or any other character tbh. This show suffers way too much in character building.
i felt more sad for aegon tbh, this dude just keep trying to impress everyone but in in vain . His mother , brother and everyone treat him like a nobody.
That just means you don't like the show, maybe you shouldn't watch it then, you had the entire of season 1 to enjoy the character building, I think this show suffers from idiots like yourself to be honest lmao, watching shows that you don't even like only to cry about not liking it, stop complaining and stop watching it the show is better without viewer's like you anyway

Because this isn't meant to be an epic thing, you can clearly see that when the dragons grapple and the music stops. It's meant to be grursome
