    Amazing. As I remember, one of the early experiments done on visualization as practice was with basketball players. They were simply asked to IMAGINE they they were practicing making a basket, and the researched found that the people who visualized shooting hoops actually improved their skills and made more baskets. OR they made just as many baskets as people who practiced in real-life (without the visualization).

    Good video, I think like that about all types of art. Thank you!

  • @Acoustic-Rabbit-Hole

    Jayden, this is very important. I associate a color for each note (interestingly, Adam Neely here actually calls it pitch CHROMA!). Each note just has a different texture to it. Like red is always heavy warm. Robust. Love songs are often written in C. Whereas A-flat sounds detached, distant, and cold. Blue. (I’m talking about the note itself.). Adam Neely once made a video where he insists that it doesn’t make a difference what key you play the music in. Claiming It’s just merely “higher or lower.” He even goes on to make fun of the original old-school cellist Pablo Casals, reading from some old notes where Casals explains why the key of E-minor is so tragic. Casals, very poetically, explains how the key of E minor FEELS! // And, Yet, Neely goes on to literally dismiss and laugh-off Casals (one if the greatest cellists who ever _lived)_ saying that there is no emotional difference from E minor to F minor. Etc. But what he doesn’t understand is that Essence and even mood if the melody changes depending on what key you play in. And it’s based on the energy or “coloring” of the root note used. In many ways, Adam Neely does not understand the art of music itself . He’s also an atheist, so he will never acknowledge The Spirt in music! It’s almost like he’s too nerdy for his own good!

    • @musicaljayden
      @musicaljayden Před 7 dny

      Glad you liked it! My personal opinion is that being a master all depends on your particular goal, for instance, a master jazz pianist, and a master classical pianist aren't the same. Virtuoso is usually more specifically geared toward classical mastery which usually has to do with a person's repertoire or what specific high level pieces they have the ability to play

      @@barofone2623 Umm they did not prohibit any chechen music, which has nothing to do with islam or islamic chants, the law has nothing to do with islam, instead it's more of an anti-western law. Additionally, within islam, the question whether music is allowed for amusement, different scholars say different things, Quran itself does not prohibit music.

      @barofone2623 Před 18 dny

      @ivanv.g.750 I am sorry and I really don't want to be rude,but I think that this standard dawah reponse: "the scholars are in disagreement" is old and tired. There is really not much debate amongst serious scholars and the mainstream agrees that it is haram to have music instruments. A hadith in Saheeh Bukhari states: From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk [for men], the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. That's obviously just one example. Also there is nothing in the quran saying anything about that you have to do 5 daily prayers. The hadith are very authoritive

    It's really fun to watch this - especially since I've watched another performance many times - and this just shows his talent, cause this performance has another timing and accompaniment. Other great Tim Minchin songs: If I didn't have you (long version) - if you have kids followed by "Lullaby". The beat poem "Storm" is another great one. If you want to see another great musical comedian but in a whole other style check out Victor Borge. I absolutely love his performance with Michala Petri from his 80th birthday (should be one with english subtitles, since his back visiting his home country Denmark after many years in the US - he fled during WWII being of jewish decent. Despite him not speaking english, he was so talented, that he got an award as "the best new radio performer of the year" only a year after his arrival in the US.). There's lots of other stuff with him out there in english. If you want to check out genius composition and great musicianship the band "Dirty Loops" is where you want to go! ♥

Used over a swing groove it creates a sense of struggle to ascending patterns and a cool tumbling free fall to descending. Also, I LOVE triplets.
