I'm on the Helikon Summit 42L at the moment. Thourght about the 3fUL packs but i NEED some back padding built in. So far loving it and it comes in some proper england forest colours. £120 1.2kg

Yep the Tiny pumps are the best bit of camping kit made in a long time! After a long hike not having to manually blow up your sleeping mat is heaven!

Just bought one and I'm a bit confused by one parts of it, if anyone can help please. Where the top grill plate sits in place there are slots going in opposite directions, why is this? I'd imagine that the slotted section is to lock the grill plate in place to prevent it from lifting upwards if food stick to it but the slots are slotted in opposite directions to each other which means you can't slide the plate into the slots. Am I missing something here?

Do you use the Polycryo ground cloth?

I have the Osprey Either 70 pack and I am thinking of the Exos 58 to cut the weight in half, over 3 lbs lighter. Also being 12 liters smaller will prevent me from bringing the unnecessaries along. Still can't see me going the ultra light way as comfort is more important than gram savings. Happy to hear commenters rave the 58 liter version too.

I just picked up the new one, the Flextail Zero. It's smaller, lighter, quieter, and easier to attach to most pads. It just doesn't come with the light, which I really liked. If I recall, the price is about the same.

I just bought a Petzl Bindi. It doesn’t appear to “hold a position” is that by design?

I've got that jacket. It's AMAZING. I've run trails in it for 2 years. My only issue- I don't want to put a running pack on it, don't want to damage the membrane. So I treat it like the diva that it is. I actually run in this jacket when it isn't raining, it balances temperature very well and I run hot. Excellent fit too. Going to buy the Ronhill Gore-active to run with a pack on long distance. I had a really cheap Ronhill running jacket and actually got in trouble running slow with a friend in the rain and cold. I couldn't stop shivering, body got cold and couldn't warm up as I was wet through in mild rain.

Will it work with the old-style Big Agnes valves? The ones that unscrew, pull out, but stay attached?
