it is annoying when beni fades, I bought a little tancho 20 years ago, the most perfect red circle right in the middle of his head, picture perfect, I had it for about a year, for the last 19 years it has been a magoi, never seen anything like it, from a bright white fish with a perfect circle to a complete blackfish, I kept him as a lesson to myself lol.

Thanks for the Bump Captain 💪🏻 everyday is a school day pal. Formalin is seriously aggressive and it can go off. Hard to tell if its off or not when premixed... it's a once a year last resort treatment for me. But that's just me. Glad you sorted it and well done Phil for smashing over. Take care my mate 👍🏻

Lucky escape there mate👍 the trouble with using premixed FMG is you have no idea if the Formalin has gone off and turned to Paraformaldehyde which is toxic to koi, that’s why I prefer to mix FMG myself , of course it could just be mixing all the chemicals together and that your FMG is fine, but you can’t tell with premixed FMG because of the MG. Formalin should be clear and have no white deposits in it , if it has white deposits in it then don’t use it in your pond (but it makes excellent weed killer) All the best

Bloody Nora mate glad you sorted it I have to say I use detox and their invirex and I had a ph kh crash after heavy rain that was acidic and it’s sorted my pond catch that in my last vid scrags hope all your fish go on the mend bud

Nice update mate hope you're on top of it all now........ Plain sailing from here on in fingers crossed. There is a Showa in the pond that just stands out to me #stunning 😍 I personally only treat when I find something, its like taking antibiotics for nothing. Eventually a tolerance will be built up and they won't work when needed. Also treatments can have adverse effects on both fish and filters. So I would choose not to treat as precautionary measure only treat what I find. There are other things that can effect the koi, heavy metals, chlorine etc etc. I think we could end up treating nothing. Just my opinion though and every pond is completely different. For example you talking about foods, at the rates I feed Saki balance destroys my water haha growth and colour are fine but balance gives me a big pond of tea... Keep on smashing it mate great content love catching up on your vids.

For fluke treatment I dose day 1 100%, day 3 50%, day 5 100%. I may be different but was advised by a respectable vet who produces a well known fluke treatment.

Something we were told, the parasites can become resistant to the treatments if you use the same one every time. Might be worth trying a different one next time you have to treat. We didn't have gill fluke, we used fluke solve plus, with the 100, 50, 50. That work, but then we had costia almost straight away 😢 All good now though. Good luck with yours.

Good video Craig 👏 I do think since I started doing CZcams I've become paranoid about my fish's health.😷🤧 I've got treatments in the shed now just in case 🤬😤🐟

I did it that way as advised by Ricky from koi wholesale on one of his vids, full dose on the first day, half on the second and third days, worked perfectly and its been the first time i've nailed them, I also have two tench and a sturgeon in my pond and it didn't bother them at all. I put it in the way rasta koi advised a few years back on one of his vids, only difference is I used a 70 micron brewers sack instead of a stocking which you can grab off amazon. Put the bottom half of the sack into the pond with the treatment in it near a return, holding the open end above the water, massage the lernex through the bag with your other hand and it dissolves it all perfectly into the water, no partials are left, I also turn the filter off for an hour to let them bath in the full dose for as long as possible, I don't bother turning the filters off for the second or third dose but defo the first one. Not sure how you measure the lernex out but I just assumed it being a 1000ml bottle that it would weigh 1000 grams but its not the case as I found out using it the first time, I needed a whole bottle and a bit more from the second one , but after emptying the first bottle into my scales the 1000ml powder actually weighs about 1250 ish grams. I tried the mixing thing an air stone in a bucket but it was foaming up like crazy and I wasn't sure it if I was weakening the treatment by gassing it off like that. Not sure if you use clay but I use the sack for that now to, since doing so I always have a small amount left in the sack now that doesn't dissolve and feels like really sharp gritty sand (nt labs mediclay), again I just massage it until no more cloud is coming off of the sack but I always have this small amount of grit leftover which i don't put in the pond, since doing it this way the flashing is next to nothing so I believe whatever this leftover grit is is an irritant to their gills.

strange your nexus does that, mine doesnt do it so im not sure if your water level maybe too high hence its coming back up out the overflow
