The problem (for me) is on full display in these comments. All the 13-14 year olds raised in that environment taking these jobs for super low wages. You can’t support a family for less than 25 an hour, but logically why would anyone train a 23 year old for that wage when they could train a 14 year old for 8.50. I just wish I was born on a farm 😂 oh well 🤷‍♂️

7 yrs ago tried small garden "no till" w/ next door. Complete disaster! Everything was "google it." When i told the broad maybe this was a plot by "google it" to get a million pple spinning their wheels & starve to death, she LOL. I was dead damn serious! Near as i could figure, they got info fr "back to eden" ish guy (VS Kloss' herb book) who had poured wood chips everywhere. He had a squishy bible that sd, "God sent Adam fr tilling...." VS the KingJames (KJV) God sent him "....TO TILL the ground." Beside that, looked like his chips had been there at least a decade. Could foresee a time if pple tried chips in orchard maybe the roots could not attain H2O as before & the terrain would become uneven. Especially if they applied all at once to try to be like this bozo. Also, there's a REASON that tree was cut-maybe pests. You don't know.... Like igits of next door & imported carpenter ants. Next door's replication of ish: prior yr's garden (barely turned, soil brought in, mixed w/ sand). Not near enuff level. Dump mega yds of new wood chips & half-ass spread. Some areas 8" chips, some none... Played much havoc planting, irrigation, growth, PEST HAVEN. Tender roots-n-shoots decimated by razor sharp chips. One part of the garden became ACID fr chips.... i keep a lot of Bicarb of Soda, but c'mon! Dude of next door finally roto-tilled a sm patch (10X10) that hadn't been worked in 50yrs. 2 fair passes. Crabgrass roots just would not come out by hand...2hrs+.... Poor loam. Transplanted some cabbages who were bursting in grow pots. Por fin! Some real dirt! Alas, no.... If i failed to H2O daily they would suffocate. Still feel guilty for torturing those plants... Especially annoying was their version of pest control. Mainly non-existant. If they had just gone down w/ a flyswatter once in a while....Oi! Grasshoppers come out when is hot, 1400 ish. "It's tooo hot!" At least i could get their kitten to go out w/ & he was a big help. Nothing would get big enuff to w/stand the bug infestation. If i could just get over the hump... Made all natural, 50gal hail mary potion: bugs, nutrients, repellent. Dude helped me apply to whole of garden 1 eve-about 1hr. Next day epic growth, fresh, happy, bug free. i sd if we did it again in 2or3wks we could kill emerging bugs, break cycle, & allow healthy growth. Ah, no. We can't do that... In my own yard no motorized help. Can't dig-1shovel dirt & 3shovels stone. Made boxes of various sorts. El-cheapo $1yd store dirt amended. Plenty feral cats VS 3 of my own (which but for the feral i'd only have 1, but i have 3 'cause there are feral....f*ing nitemare! ...nevermind..). Bought $120 worth of 2"X4" fencing to keep cats out. Either on the soil or made a fence&roof around box w/ gravity. Not pretty. Those raised beds NEED turning. They have other probs, but whatever. The point is-what will work for me will not work for you. In GA i had to save my own irrigation. In WA State no. FARMERS around the globe are under attack. The NWO-types keep pressing. We are in a squeeze play: top down, bottom up, squeeze out the middle. Holland has had success. Now i heard an ish outa NDakota & Noam is quiet, or are we out of the loop? That Amish dude, Amos Miller, PA, USA is pressed beyond measure (same demise here in WA State decades ago w/ homogenization). We see there is no recourse. The ImperialFed, courts, & bureaucracy are all pre-verted, or full of perverts, whatever.... Meanwhile, we got CuckerTarlson, AlexJones, DJTrump (courts weaponized against people & now rich pple), TikTok circus, & now these Hollyweird clowns keeping us distracted fr what laws ARE being passed. Did anyone tell you the Trump tax cuts will sunset in 2025? i heard it ONCE over the AP wire. Not only damn, but just damn! The Atlanta Fulton CO website has been shut down for 2mos-allegedly by hackers. Ha! For the trial of the century? Really? I think is enuff time to scrub a couple of elections.... Meanwhile, young man, i would like to see a real "no till" on a grand scale. i think you could get away w/ alfalfa, but idk. Walk us thru it. Give us a good talk & bust up hi-lites for those w/ the attention span of a gnat. i pray for you & yours health & blessing. Happy you are not a AgWelfare whore. Very happy, indeed, Sir. ps Would not have clicked on your vigja if it had been 3min. By the time ya get theme muzak, high, my name is..., & bye, sign up ish; i don't know what you can tell me in 2min i don't know already. pss Sorry old broad war-n-peace rant. *sigh* Keep movin'!

  • @Vinsworld33

Have you considered Paul Stamets approach. To help break down the usage of pesticides, and also there are natural cover crops and support crops you can plant that will benefit your yield and provide adequate if not perfect pest free conditions. Wont deter your deer if you find that a postive or negative .. There is a solution to everything. There are "different" solutions to everything. Props and great video.. I would also recommend tilling and planting again in the fall after harvest... especially for dry soil. It will help add more water before the frost. Then let grow normally in spring. If it works for hay, alfalfa and clovers it will work for your beans. Less work.. and all damage is done in the same time frame. Plus the seeds that fall from the harvest will also provide strengthening qualities which will grow and add shading for the new seeds. Let grow one full summer, 1 to 2 harvest that summer, if needed more, but the idea is to allow their root to grow through tough times, and promote tougher plants. You can also, and yes sounds silly, but you can teach your plants to produce seeds that will provide a stronger resistance towards pest too. Be a biofarmer and science the shit out of it. One weird study says if you place a seed under your tou gue before planting you are promoting the seed to grow a plant suitable for your body. What I am getting at is dont be a closed door, knowledge comes from opening doors like opening book. Nothing is learned from a closed book and nothing gets through a closed door.

This is the most informative video I’ve seen on the 4730. I would love to have one but am currently trying to pay off a cotton stripper before making any more big purchases. I enjoy learning all I can about these sprayers on the off chance I’ll end up getting one sooner rather than later. I’m currently doing all my spraying with two tractor mounted 60 foot booms and it’s really hard to get over enough ground in between windy days. A neighbor of mine helps me when I get behind. He ran a 4730 then upgraded last year to an R 4030. The 4730 would be more in the lines of what I’d be wanting to spend for one, and like you said , they’re all going to have some hours on them at this point. Thanks for educating those of us who know little about these sprayers.

I really appreciate the support! I tried to go over anything I could think of. The 4730 is a great sprayer. I would take a late model 4730 over an early model R4030 for sure. Also if the farmer has taken good care of it then you'd still be good even with high hours. You gotta start somewhere!

I know the solar payments are enticing but with the way inflation is happening, land rent may surpass solar rates before we think. Farming is getting more efficient which might drive up farm rental rates and save our agricultural land from solar. Also the possibility of these solar companies not removing the panels or missing their payments could be a problem. Just a thought.

Love Arbys! They have the best menu in all of fast food. If you could combine their stores with chic-fil-a’s management, you’d take over the world!
