A great video explaining in terms a noob like me can understand. Thank you very much.
Thank you for the additional links.
Hello. Another question i have. In one of my flight plans after I get everything set up, it gives a warning (vector or discontinuity I forget which) and the runway and missed approach legs are missing. I would start over and reprogram it again only to have same error. What is going on here?
@14:00 minutes you explain how to "save" the flight plan we just entered. But my 737-800 (stock) does not show the "save" option. (Following exactly the route you took). Why is mine different than yours?
I see it’s a couple of years since you’ve updated the channel, so I’m probably a little late with my subscription. :) None the less I wanted to let you know that of the G1000 videos I’ve seen, as someone who struggles with the complex, this one was hands down the best and most useful for me. It’s such a shame you never got around to the more in depth sequel, as I now need to find somebody equally as good, to show me how to use it to do an ILS approach and landing. :) Thank’s again and hope you’re doing well. All the best.
Dude! Thanks for showing how to reset the FMC without having to exit and restart the whole game! Also showing VECTORS is an error and to clear it. Definitely better tutorial than the other one(s) I watched (not naming names).
Should I use differential breaks or parking breaks when landing and taxiing? Thank you
Bro thank you. I was at FL350 Trying to change my waypoint. Thank you so much
Man I know this vid is 7 years old but you're so clear and concise, thank you!
Audio is good Lesson important
very helpful - thank you
Good Work. Very clear and precise.
You are amazing!!! Thank you! Please make more !
love your explanations J
i have one small problem becouse if i want to enter my dep i cant select any runway so my sids also doesnt work does enyone knows how to fix this
Can I make a hold in the G1000, and how do I do this?
We call it the FMC, great tutorial. 👋
7:46 hehe
hi Jason, I don't know if you'll answer any questions. but in what order would you purchase your controls? Alpha Flight Controls, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, Pedals They are quite pricey!
thanks for these lessons, I can use them well in XPlane 12 👍😋
Helpful for figuring out the A/P's "switch-ology". It would have helped to mention "decision height" and when you disconnected from the A/P (found it sliding back and forth in the video);
Excellent video. Helped me so much. Thank you sir!
The airplane is much too close to the buildings.
Which plane are you in please
Great video explained very clearly and concisely!!! Thanks!
How come you don't use engine reversal mode to help with braking with landing after touchdown? I also utilize speed brake for controlling air speed but using engine reversing after touchdown--works fantastically requiring minimal rudder braking! I don't know if using engine reversing is proper for landing but it works great! I also utilize reversal mode to back up if I don't want to mess with tow service for push back 😊
If purchasing a 737 other than what came with XP11/12 which do you prefer?
Flaps sure seemed like they were set more than 5 percent on take-off?
This is maybe weird but i do t the AP button
i have no idea how i learned this just watching once lol
Great instructional well done
It's extremely rare that someone tries and tries a video before uploading it!!! Well done Sir! I learned perfectly how to land a RNAV! Too bad you have stopped to make further videos. I know it is very time consuming! Again thank you and all the best.👍👍👍👍👍
Great video!
Great video!
Another great video, thanks!
Best video on CZcams for understanding X-Plane 11 ATC. Also, a great channel for RNAV/GPS
Great tutorial, thanks.
How do u knwo where to put waypoints ? I’m quite confused
I CANT thank you enough for helping me do my first full flight, i just got a decent laptop to run x plane 12 and did some vfrs and i cant manage to get the LNAV work for some reason, fixed out and watched your tutorial and it worked
Why did you manually set your ILS frequency? Doesn't the FMC deal with that automatically, seeing it knows where your landing and on what runway you have chosen, at the time of setting it up? Also, how has is a course of 240 related to runway 24? Thank you.
Very well done and very timely. Thanks.
I have found that through trial & error, on the 737, that it you engage the vnav button soon after take-off, you will climb like a rocket. If you wait until you are almost at your altitude before engage, the climb will be normal. After all, you are simply climbing. Also, when I reach the TOD, I disengage the vnav via the auto throttle and cut the engines to idle. This brings me to the correct approach altitude much more easily. Don't forget to set the ILS approach, or you are guaranteed to overshoot the runway! 😉
Why am I unable to turn off the A/T auto throttle switch during flight?
You are not explaining completely.
Excellent, keep making vids, they are the best..
It's now 2023 and this video is sooooo important. Retired and finally taking some time to understand Boeing's FMS, not to be confused with FMC, not to be confused with MCP, not to be confused with EIFS, yada yada yada... After watching so many CZcamsr(Navigraph,PMDG) salesmen I finally understand the plane FMC is separate from the plane auto guidance. I think... Even though sometimes you forget to put your landing gear up your easy to understand without telling me how smart you are and you're not deliberately distracting me to keep me from learning the important stuff. Thanks so much!
great teaching. Appriciated
many thanks Jason! it's very helpful!
As usual, Jason in a very good teacher, I believe the best for virtual air navigation! In this case I have not been able to replicate the video because when I reach the last leg and I push APR, the plane turns unexpectedly on the right and lose definitely the right route to the final approach. I know the video is using an old version of autopilot, but I have have not been able to do the same with the new current version. Did someone do it?
I love when he says out. 🇨🇦
