Unbelievably, when I was last there pre-covid, there were no signs to tell you where a train was going. Since Greek trains only take random notice of a timetable, you had to guess or try to find somebody who knew in order to find out whether a train was headed for Thessaloniki, Kalabaka or where-ever. Have they installed any signs yet?

I rode Tram 7 several times with my gurlfriend Jelena at that time, I remember very well. That was about 10 years ago ... and those old trams are STILL going! Jeez! :)

The new DART trains are awesome looking, can't wait till they are deployed, made by ALSTOM,the line is being extended to Drogheda
Tatsächlich war es die Stadtbahnlinie U2, die die alte Straßenbahnlinie 2 im Jahr 2002 abgelöst hat! Erst im Jahr 2010, hat man die Linien getauscht (Streckenast Berliner Pl. Liederhalle - Hölderlinplatz). Seitdem verkehrt die U2 zwischen Botnang und Berliner Pl. und weiter bis nach Neugereut!

I am glad you liked it :) The museum is open Sundays to Wednesdays and as far as I know there are no seasonal restricitons. The video was in fact shot during the "Halloween" weekend of 2022 and the museum was open also on Nov. 1st - but just to be sure, reach out to the before you travel. On Sundays you can travel with the oldtimer tram to the museum. Enjoy your visit in Stuttgart!

I’ve not been to Howth in over 30 years, but I read that the DART has been extended from Malahide to Greystones - how on earth can the platforms at Howth station possibly cope with such long DART trains? I’ve also read they want to extend the DART to Maynooth or Celbridge, possibly even up to M3 Parkway, currently passing the LUAS terminal at Broombridge
The dart is also going to be getting extended to Drogheda as well as Maynooth Celbridge Dunboyne and Wicklow also
I just wish they would extend the DART, DART Underground or the LUAS all the way to the Irish Ferries terminal at Dublin Port or start operating ferries from Liverpool to Dun Laoire - I have family in Dunshaughlin Co Meath but I live in Manchester (nearest mainline station Manchester Victoria) and I use SailRail to come home via Chester/Crewe and Holyhead - I’m involved in an online effort to have the M3 Parkway line extended to Navan, which Dunshaughlin is in dire need of a train station - this will become even more important if the Irish government bans shorthaul flights between Ireland and the U.K. in compliance with EU climate change rules - and will put more focus on the (currently shelved) Holyhead to Dublin high-speed rail tunnel which urgently needs to happen - every time ferries are put on Irish Sea routes they fill up rapidly beyond capacity, even for freight out of Holyhead and Liverpool Birkenhead, let alone passengers
One thing that I have been very surprised by about the DART, in the 20 years that I’ve been living in Manchester U.K. compared to when I used to live in Ireland growing up, that when I come home to Ireland now, the DART trains are much longer, reflecting the demand for them, even outside of peak hours - staying with family in Rural Ireland when I’m home, I can get the train into Dublin Connolly and visit friends near Sandymount - I just wish they would build a DART or LUAS line all the way to the Irish Ferries terminal in North Wall, as I come home on SailRail via Holyhead and it drives me mad having very limited access into the City Centre - they should re-open the ferry terminal at Dun Laoire as I’d sooner sail from Liverpool making use of Manchester Victoria, as I hate platform 14 at Manchester Piccadilly and changing trains at Chester/Crewe, especially when coming from Manchester Metrolink trams - smaller passenger only ferries should sail further up the Liffey at high tide, which would make things so much easier when they ban flights between the U.K. and Ireland

I am shocked by this, what a horrific accident. I hope the protest will push for more funding into necessary infrastructure and proper investment into the future of rails. This tragic accident was 100% preventable and it's shameful of those in charge to continually dismiss the safety reports! May they rest in peace

Yes! The new trams look like UFOs that are stretched and run on tracks ;) And Strasbourg is defeinitely worth a visit! Especially in the summer!

Je connais très bien le tram de Strasbourg. Je l’e.printemps souvent. Il existe une ligne de tram qui va en Allemagné à Kehl ville frontière Et toute proche de Strasbourg….j’adore ce mode de transport….

interesting! It's like a tramway, except for the two termini, who are more like subway stations. And I absolutely love the mix of trains and roman ruins in Porta Maggiore!
