Allgäu - on Diesel Multiple Units

Allgäu is one of Germany‘s , most picturesque regions in the foot of the Allgäuer Alps - a mountain range reaching into Austria to the south.
Though predominantly rural, the Allgäu homes significant economic activities that make commuting throughout the area and to neighbouring large cities necessary. In the weekends tourists swarm the area throughout the year.
The railway network in Allgäu is being upgraded stepwise - one main line being electrified in late 2020. The second main line of the region however ist still unelectrified and operated by some interesting DMUs
In this video we take the actively tilting class 612 (RegioSwinger) from Munich to Immenstadt and return on the interesting looking class 633 (Pesa Link) via Memmingen where we meet the electrified main line.
