Here's another great Kim Carnes dance track that should have been way bigger than it was. This time around, she worked with Nile Rodgers of Chic, who in the past couple years leading up to this, had generated MASSIVE hits for Duran Duran, Madonna, and David Bowie... But for whatever reason, his work with Kim Carnes fell on deaf ears... or in my case, didn't fall at all - I had no idea this even existed until the past year, so I'm doing my part, passing it along to all of you!

I remember I first heard this at CIRCUS in Hollywood. I had just arrived from Mexico City back in the 80's to Los Angeles. All they played in Mexico City was Abba and Michael Jackson constantly on the radio. When I came back all this Rock and Punk was playing and loved it ever since. KROQ was my favorite station back then. Now 67 and the couple of friends I went with to Mexico City are no longer here. Miss them so much.

I'm in the 1% so was great - and a surprise - to come across this post! I saw The Doves when they supported Level 42 in October 1991. Fantastic set, fantastic vibe. Angie's voice - so unforgettable. I was so impressed that I just had to buy the 'cassette' the next day. Was so pleased that a certain big name music shop had it in stock! It still gets a regular airing...one of my favourites too.
So nice to meet another fan! I so wish I could have seen them live... I literally dreamt of it for years!
This song was well written
Many years on the bicycle hundreds of thousands of miles to Tesh's TDF music and others.
I finally got around to listening to the whole album. While it probably would never have reordered my world view, it was definitely pleasant. I would have undoubtedly listened to it a lot if I had picked it up back in the day.
