Nik Kershaw - Don Quixote [Extra Special Long Mix] (1985)

Nik Kershaw's 1985 album The Riddle is one of my all time favorites... it was the first used record I ever bought, and one of the select few that has remained in my collection since the '80s. The title track was a minor hit on the new wave radio stations in the US, and our pressing also included the big hit from his previous album, "Wouldn't It Be Good." But what makes it a favorite album is all the other songs that are so good they should have been singles too.
Well, it wasn't until a few years ago that I discovered that some of those tracks WERE singles in other parts of the world, and as such, were given the extended remix treatment! I put them all on my Discogs Wantlist when I found out about them, and on Christmas morning, I finally got my hands on the first of them, thanks to my son. They call this the "Extra Special Long Mix" and it's a very accurate name. Not a lot of bells, whistles, or "stupid sampler tricks" here, it's just more of the great song that we wanted it to be!
