I had thyroid/parathyroid surgery 6 yrs ago. I did a lot of research, before my surgery. I live in CA and went to Tampa, FL, for the surgery. The cost would have been the same had I had the surgery done locally. Even with the flight tickets, Hotel expenses, food, etc. I went to the Norman Parathyroid Center. It is on the 6th Floor of Tampa Gereral Hospital. They have like 15 Expert Doctors, who do nothing but these surgeries. I had the bloodwork, plus their own xrays, prior to the surgery. It took them only 20 minutes to do the procedure. They removed a noncancerous nodule/tumor off of my thyroid and removed one active parathyroid. A small incision, no drains needed. Back to Hotel with Free Shuttle Service, to and from hospital. An amazing experience! I had some pain, but was doable with Tylenol. It was about $4,000. Out of pocket and was offered to make payments with no interest. So it all was so worth it, going cross country and a relief for me and my husband, knowing these were expert doctor's in their field. Just wanted to tell you my experience. I also had high calcium in my blood. Praying you have a complete healing and that the Lord guides you to the help you need to normalize your iron deficiency. I just had parathyroid surgery on April 2, 2024 & I was in shock!! The nurses all made it seem like I would be up & running the very next day. I only took 1 day off, eventually, I had to request off the rest of the week. After surgery, I could talk just above a whisper for almost a week

So sorry you went thru so much. I had parathryoid surgery in 2012 and only had one removed but my calcium went low after surgery no matter how many Tums I took, so I know how horrible you must have felt with the low calcium. I was put on the med calcitriol for a while and that helped a lot to keep the tingles away. It took me years for by body to get to a half way decent calcium level and for me to feel better. Are you taking calcitriol? Its the active form of Vitamin D. Have your calcium levels gotten to "normal" numbers yet? There is a good group on facebook that i was in for years for those who went hypoparathryoid (low calcium) after surgery. Wishing you the best

I love what you did with the Chanel cosmetic bag. One would never know if it's a cosmetic bag unless, you tell them. I am not about those expensive price tags. Thank You for this video. Im having this surgery shortly. I am anemic as well. It was explained to me that higher levels of calcium in the blood block iron absorbtion. That explains why im iron deficient. Hopefully after surgery, my calcium levels normalize and that will take care of my iron deficiency issues.

Most people have a wonderful outcome after PT surgery. Please folk do not be anxious it is usually v straightforward to handle. Peace and good luck to everyone.

I have very heavy period going thru pms. My hgb usually go between 7-8. I do not like the iron pill. I take the MegaBlood liquid iron works wonders. Be proactive with your bloodwork. If you're in Healthcare you can actually order it yourself theres telehealth online that will allow you to obtain the req and take it to the nearest lab.
