Taste the bitter-sweet [LOVE] of NEO!! What? No, I am The Original　　　　NEO. One thing I've just noticed, is that sans bleeding actually makes the guy feel more real. It's like that extra punch back to reality, a way to convey that your actions matter and there is an aftermath, you will face consequences. Regardless of how lore handles explanation of this, it makes the ending kick harder through these kinds of subtle means. As long as you give thought to it, it closely resembles as if you're killing a real person on the other end. His awareness of your control without breaking the classic forth wall directly makes it perfectly normal. Also, I like the little detail that when he wakes up he doesn't realize your're still on the button. Probably drowsy from the sleep and exhaustion, he doesn't quite realize where you are, which is why he can't dodge again. Perhaps if he was more keen on it he still could end you there, as he did prove to be capable attacking during wait time. Etc.. Either way, nicely done!
