- Dying on a bonus stage doesn't prevent you from earning a colored gem, which is great because this bonus is one of those you might have to restart a lot. Be careful not to break the second bouncy crate with your head.
To earn a colored gem in Crash Bandicoot 1 you must break all the boxes in a specific level without dying. Sometimes it's easier said than done.
