NOONE has ever said that LPs sound bad. What everyone says is that they are NOT WORTH THE ASKING PRICE. Hide glue is not expensive or difficult to apply. The CNC process has made guitar manufacturing cheap and quick. A 6000$ PRS has had research and development value, in materials, shape, wood densities, body thickness, tuning machines, bridge ergonomics, bridge and saddle alloys for better tone, controls placement, even proprietary pickus. That is alot of R&D and a lot of tangeable value reflected on the price tag. A 6000$ LP is actually a 2000$ guitar honestly. No R&D since the 60s, electronics are standard stuff, pickups are just burstbuckers with different magnet and winding levels, standard off-the-shelf hardware. The whole "trying to replicate" argument does not exist. The shape, weight, wood type, tooling and materials required is not a secret for 70 years now. Their only effort has been the lacquer composition to meet modern enviromental requirements and the need to age unreallistically quick. I do own a True Historic 59. Best LP I've ever played, best LP I've ever even heard. Does anything I ask of it. Spanky, tele on steroids if you so wish. Gritty, Kossof vibes if you so wish. Sizzly leads, Gary Moore style if you so please. Thick, woody and juicy, Snowy White style if you so desire. Huge, honky, punchy, Bonamassa style if that's what you are going for. Honestly a GREAT guiitar. But nothing there that justifies the price tag. I don't own a PRS. But you know those things are worth the money.

I bought one a year ago after listening to your video and for me, the Gibson R0 I got is worth every penny I invested in it. You will never get better sounds on cheaper Les Pauls than the ones you get on the R0 or R9. Just for the good vibrations I get from the sound of the notes every time I pick up the guitar, that is everyday, to me, this is priceless.

Last year I bought the 60th anniversary 1960 V1 neck model. I borrowed the money to buy it as I could not believe the store I got it from still had one a few years after they came out. I took about 2 hours to make up my mind and to ask myself am I nuts to be spending this much money on one guitar. I went ahead and took out the loan and bought it. For a week or two after buying it I was still thinking “ohhh my god I’m nuts”. Well it’s now just a little over a year since I bought it and whenever I have free time it’s never out of my hands. Yes there is other brands who make instruments in the same price range and in their design are a more “finely set up guitar” but for me they have no passion for me. I guess I’ve always wanted a vintage standard burst Les Paul and I know a lot of that is from looking at all the legends down the years who played them. I could keep going on and on about various reasons for and against. I connected with my guitar in a way I have never with other guitars I have. My Les Paul straight in my Amp = heaven. :-)

But my LP SG Junior is just different flavors in the home studio. So those are all just Standards. But if any of those were my number one players, that would be custom shop but standards are so freaking good Im good with production models, they still arent cheap, and they still play amazing.

I used to think the same way as you. The Historic Collection is twice the price of a regular Les Paul, the Murphy Lab is three times the price, and the Heavy Aged one is even more expensive. One day, when I was browsing the internet late at night, I saw a Les Paul that I really liked. I thought about it for about an hour, then emailed the guitar shop and asked them to put it on hold. I couldn't sleep that day, but I went to a guitar shop that day, saw the Les Paul, tried it out, and decided to buy it. It's an expensive guitar, but my satisfaction was worth the price. I was able to get a dream guitar for the same price as the Real Burst I saw around 1980. Just like the latest Porsche is the best Porsche, it is the latest and best burst clone. Of course, I also know the goodness of classic things.

The price tag on these gibson custom shop guitars is what people often forget. your not paying 250,000k for the original 1960. Yet your getting a chance to own and play one as if you actually were in the 1960 yourself. But i get everyone wants the best cheapest guitar they can find. I have 20 plus guitars myself. No matter what you say no Epiphone will be the same as a custom shop Gibson .because Gibson wont have them make epiphones or normal gibsons with the same construction and paint. Close but not exact.

I chose the R8 because acoustics wise it rang better for whatever reason unplugged. When I played them all I preferred the neck on the R8 it for my hand perfectly. All of them are great guitars whether people believe in the price or not. I don’t think that matters when you want that it factor, my opinion. The unpotted PUps are amazing. @@KennyRavelo this is why we have to try them out, especially if we are spending that cash lol. My hands are medium and skinny, but for some reason it fits my hand like a glove. My ‘61 Gibson SG is a slim neck and that works for me too. I don’t know why it is or how to explain it, When I love something I make it work. Then again I couldn’t play Fender Strats and it pissed me off for about 35 years lol. So I had one custom made for me. Finally I can play one besides my first guitar teacher’s. I can understand your criticisms of the checkpoint system. At times it can feel like you're undermining the difficulty of missions by smashing your head at the same boss over and over rather than playing conservatively or strategically. As a person who isn't the best gamer in the world, I really like the checkpoint system because they let you access the garage. So you can switch up builds without going through the whole mission.

I enjoyed AC6 a lot, and grinded to get all the achievements pretty much immediately. It is my personal GOTY. But after that I went back to the old ACs, which IMO do the mech fantasy part of AC much better than AC6. AC6 feels too much like a combo focused fighting game or something. I really disliked the emphasis on the stagger mechanic. Stagger has always been in AC, but it has been way smaller of a mechanic, and happened mostly just after getting hit by high damage weapons. The mechs also don't feel to have any weight, as they spin around instantly. Even in AC4A, where you could go absolutely insane with speed, much faster than in AC6, the mechs still felt a lot heavier and more "mech-like".
