lol, my sewing room is a mess! 😂 I need to do a clean and sort out. I use my old kitchen table to sew and old nursery furniture as my storage. I can’t wait to see your space! In 10 years when we have grandkids, I’ll need to follow your lead with the callax? units.

I made the chalk and notch Ivie, TATB Mabel (and was so surprised how much I loved it!) and the serenity dress by Ojayroom patterns (which I got to name 😊) I am now testing a top. No pictures, lol too busy sewing🥰 i’m not sure what’s next on my sewing table. After that I have such a long list. perhaps address for my daughter and perhaps a sundress for me. The Ethel dress will be so amazing. I cannot wait to see it!

I got my jelly rolls to do the quilt challenge.

I'm making a big 4 pattern, just a skirt and the instruction are abysmal, sure makes you appreciate the Indie instructions . Not taking part in any challenges as I can't get my head around instgram. Think me age (82) is against me. Enjoy all you videos x

You are going to be busy Emma. Ganni dress looks lovely can’t wait to see. I have never done a quilt and looks quite fiddly. I have a lot of off cuts so maybe will try and cut out some squares and have a go soon. X

For the fleur if you are busty I recommend doing 4 sets of ties with one going across the apex of your bust to prevent gaping. I sewed the fleur up on Saturday and it is so lovely.

I think I will try both challenges.

You should add a gold “Emma” to the back ❤ I am entering and have made 2 of my 3 makes. Do I need to post inspiration each week or just the final make for SRTL 2024?

Your plans sound like so much fun! I downloaded the quilt patterns but will likely just cut from my stash of quilting cottons. I have to decide on a size and a background colour!

Hi Emma. You're going to be busy with challenges! I'm doing the Standing Tall QAL too. My strips are earth-tone batiks and the background is either going to be gray or red. Have you picked a background color yet for your quilt? It was hard to see each fabric in your roll, but overall they looked colorful and light. You might want to see if a darker background color sets them off dramatically when you audition fabrics from your stash to use for the background, or if you want a more subtle effect, what lighter background fabric might work. Your denim sun dress project looks really interesting too. You could even cut the straps on straight of grain instead of on the bias since you won't have to curve them around anything with the straight-across neckline. Looks like it will be a great jumper too (what we call a sleeveless dress worn over a top -- I think it's called a pinafore in your neck of the woods). It's going to be fun times in your sewing room, Antonia

Great, I've just cut out a cropped Marlo. My sewing machine won't do good buttonholes on cotton, so I won't even try it on ribbing. I'm going to sew the buttons on through the ribbing, and put it on over my head like a jumper. Wish me luck!

Can't wait to see your demin version of the dress. I was always told to wash demin 2 times before cutting out. I can't enter challenges because you have to go to Instagram with pictures. I don't belong to IG and don't want to try and figure it out at my age...LOL

Love your idea for hacking the saltwater slip dress - it’s one of my favourite tried and tested patterns 😊 I purchased a jelly roll this week to join in with the quilt sew along. It will be my first quilt too 😊❤
