had 2022 SA 3 seasons and that was very nice, upgraded this year to 2024 SV. The SV is off the charts exceptional! both were amazing boats and the SV needs no additional ballast for great surf wave. fill the 3800 lbs of standard sub floor ballast and out of the box amazing.. also slalom skis very well for a 6000 lb boat! and the surf locker...... on other brands need to spend $300-400 k to get a surf locker and that keeps the interior bone dry if the participant stays out there to dry off after dumping vests wetsuits etc. Supra by far the best high end surf boat available. and can get a loaded SV for under $200 k! and as a comparison a Malibu 23 LSV weighs just 5700 lbs, the 22 LSV 5100 lbs, Tige Z3 5350 even the Centurion 245I is only 5700 lbs. So Supra's have alot more weight than the other brands built right into the boat. 9800 lbs total with std subfloor ballast in a 21'-10" boat! truly an amazing surf wave. In a Nautique you need to get a Paragon 23 or 25 over $450 k to get 2 screens. Supra has three if one includes the passenger mini screen in the count.

Good video. We went from a 2007 Malibu Silver Edition 21 to a 2018 S230. Newest boat is an '24 Axis A245. F/F of the Axis is not that of the Nautique. I miss the helm controls of the S230. Wake? A245 kills my Malibu and Nautique which is what we spend 90% of our time doing. Out of the box the wave is 2' higher, bigger pocket and more push. There is 1 new Ri on our lake but likely 2X the cost of my 245 and maybe not that much better wave.

Why can’t I see any Fi series on the centurion website anymore? Did they discontinue that model?

Mastercraft needs to get rid of the tower and start over. Time for something new. I’m planning on switching from my xstar to centurion solely because of the new predator tower

I have a G25 Paragon and have found the more water I have in the front the longer and more mellow the wave. The less water I have in the front the steeper and shorter the wave is. Depending upon how many people I have on the boat and how much fuel I have, I normally run 100% on rider side, 80% on opposite side and 50% in the front.

This channel just makes me jealous. Never had the chance to get behind any of these boats. They look so awesome.

If a family can afford and finance a boat, and not totally mess up any other aspects of their finances and quality of life. I would totally waste money to create priceless memories with family and friends...I have a 4-6 year window until my kids move out, and I would waste money over and over during this window...I love watching them laugh and smile on the tube and while surfing.

I am looking a purchasing a 2014 Yamaha F150 four stroke that has 3000hrs on it. They are asking $7k. If you know that they use it regularly should I be concerned? I’m more concerned with something that has been sitting with little or no hours for years.

Great video. I bought a 2019 Sanger 212SL last Aug, and we finally got it dialed in this season. While I would love a Supra/Supreme/Malibu/etc., I really am thinking I will seriously pursue the longer model in their top-tier line up, the 231SL. For two main reasons, it will still fit in my standard 8' tall garage door opening. And for the money, 5,200 pounds of factory ballast and GSA, it provides an outstanding wake for surfing and costs 1/3 of the others always featured on this channel. Other reasons are I'll go from a 12 to 16 person capacity; and their zero effort Apollo tower is beefy AF...and my bimini is sooo long and provides so much shade for my passengers; something I always notice on other boats while out (their short shade covers). When are you doing an Sanger 231SL review?

I mean the easiest way to figure this out is to go to the boat show and sit in them all and decide for yourself. That is what this video should have said. Personally having sat in every wake boat they all have nice features some of which may not appear on another brand and If I could make my ideal wakeboat I would pull elements from all the brands.

I appreciated two main things: you are honest about your bias, and that's appreciated. I also really appreciated the dialogue about the different model lines between vendors and which are more direct competitors (e.g. MasterCraft X Series vs. Malibu M Series). It's tough to know when you've slipped from apples to apples and are comparing apples to pomegranates. They're both the same color and shape, but not the same fruit.

Does only centurion feature quick launch as a feature? Makes turning much easier.

Do you have any information on surf settings for an FS33? I have a 2016 and I just know I can get the surf wake better. I even have 300# of lead sacks too.

What Tige does well coming from a supra SL 450 to a Tige RZX with the 400. 1 the 2-1 transmission in Tige My SL glad the 1-7 transmission and would take up to 45 seconds to get to wakeboard speed with less ballast then my Tige. Tige 15 seconds. This also = less fuel burn. 2 the go system on the Tige is very user friendly my SL had auto wake or as many call it auto dump and was a lot to learn and understand .The wave behind our Tige is a tad shorter but has more volume and has a very firm feeling, wife and I both felt the SL wave was soft. 3 the wakeboard wake is very hard, and huge and very adjustable. I do agree about the raptor motor, they are loud and turn a higher rpm the other brands. Over all our Tige is sick AF, surfing and wakeboarding, we added an extra 900 in lead ballast and can have the stock 3400 full and 5-7 people and it will push a scary big wakeboarding wake and get to speed in less then 20 seconds. Over all so far we love our Tige RZX Keep your videos coming, I love seeing the comparison in the brands.

Every Sanger I’ve been in has had immaculate fit and finish. Every MB I’ve been had way better fit and finish then a boat at its cost had any business having. Malibu was considered to be a top 3 with CC and MC prior to going public. It took a big hit and everyone else made leaps and bounds. Malibu has been on the quality and fit&finish upswing for a good 3 years after having the 2014-2021 debacle. Supra, MB, and Moomba have made huge leaps in the last few years. Centurion has also blossomed under CC. Tige’s new Ultra ZX’s will definitely steal some big 3 buyers as will Supra. MC’s innovation and progression has really slowed down, but it doesn’t matter as they have such high performing boats and their fit and finish has always been incredible. So why reinvent the wheel every 2-3 years when you can take the Toyota approach of slow progression and mastering the product you already have. In the year of 2024 every wake boat has very good to incredible performance out of the box, and every single one can be made noticeably to a metric fuck ton better with tinkering. So being a picky bitch about interior and brand bias and needing conformation and validation for your buying decision is want it all leans on today for these nonsensical my dick is bigger then your dick comparisons. The wake and wave should be your first consideration, followed by dealer proximity, dealer quality, and known reliability. Leave the handbag mentality for the wives if you need their approval.

For a boat with a smaller wave (1999 Tige 2100V), what type do you recommend? It can be a challenge to not fall out the back of the wake so looking for something with the most speed.

In your opinion what is the best surfing only boat for $160k? Currently have the axis a225. Looking to upgrade.

How do the Goofy-sides compare?

I have not shopped for a surfboat since 2017, but looking UNDER the seats sold me on the Natique G23, even though the Malibu LSV25 wave was longer and it did not have the nose-snagging trough near the transom that my G did.

This guy mentions his knowledge about boats and compares a track Porsche to an F-150 but when it comes to boats mentions no names at all so the comparison means absolutely nothing. He then cites examples of what the customer may look for before buying a boat such as the use but then provides zero examples of the boats he knows about to make his points credible. This video was a waste of time. Thank you

What were the profile settings ,speed,ballast ,tabs?

I'd like to see you use the exact same gas in each boat. The gas in the axis is only 46% octane where as in the centurion its 56%. That can make drastic differences.

This might be a silly question. But being a family with lots of kids we love pulling a tube out every once in a while to give a group of people on the boat a chance to get in. How do these boats compare pulling tubes as to a standard out drive boat? Are there any features that make one or the other do better or worse?

Aaaaawww🤩, this kind of info is really rare and hard to find, and I love it!!! Moomba/Supra are among the brands I know the least, which makes your video all the more interesting to watch. Wonderful to see so much hands-on experience, so much knowledge went into it! My favourites are how you place Supra as a brand, learning about their "innovation culture" and learning your interesting view on AutoWake 🌊 Familiar mainly with MasterCrafts and Nautiques, I always wondered about the added value of AutoWake. Actually I saw huge potential in this feature if you have changing and maybe otherwise non-boating folks on board. If you go out with the same riders most of the time, well, different story 😅

It would be cool to see you do a review on the Regal LS9 just like this video. Fuel economy, waves ect.

I think the thing that matters to 99% of people looking at these boats is the price. $1000-$1500 a month for 20 years is crazy. That’s more than what we pay for our lake house.

Our local dealer on our lake became a tige dealer about 10-12 years ago. I have looked at them in the showroom. They do have an overall premium finish to interior. I have seen several that are 3 or 4 years old with the vinyl stitching looking terrible. The seams had popped and torn. Maybe they have improved this lately, but I think that is a potential downside to the fancy diamond stitching they are known for.

While I love these videos I do think making statements of poor build quality deserves more discussion beyond seat stitching.... I was kind of disappointed in the lack of details and examples to back up this statement
