    Would you ever be interested in doing a video on sanger. History, boats of the past and maybe boats of current day. Also maybe touch in as to why they are where they are in the industry?

      Sanger is on purpose “where they are at”. They don’t have a pro team, sponsor competitions, advertise, or want to sell boats in every state. They also don’t constantly come out with new models, and don’t even evolve current models other than minor upgrades. So they spend all of their efforts making everything in house that they can. They also have build quality, fit and finish, fiberglass, and gel coat that’s as good as CC and MC. So by not offering all the bells and whistles, and focusing on boats that ride and handle incredible, have killer wakeboard wakes or wakes and waves(model dependent), and are just dead nuts reliable and easy to use at a price well under non budget boats. This all equates to a die hard fan base. Once you’ve been in a Sanger in rough water and seen one 15 years old with high hours that still looks amazing, thats easy to operate, the not caring about clout makes sense. They are also the only wakes hiatus that don’t have a max horsepower on their hulls.

    All good info here Mitch. I'm in the UT area and have been to boardco a few times and enjoy the service you guys provide. I'd love to hear your thoughts on MB. I know they're a smaller company but you're always thorough in your review of boats and I'd like to know how they compare to the rest. Thanks again!

    Got behind the 2024 GS24, it is a surf boat. It surfs extremely well I am glad they took the time to perfect the wave. It isn’t really a crossover, it is usable as a crossover but it is primarily a surf boat.

      You must be an absolute idiot. Why does Nautique make a G series - are they not surf boats??? A GS does not surf as well as a G series.... maybe because it's a crossover?? explain that one bud

    I love Mastercraft, we have had a 2006 x15 Mastercraft till this day and it has been an amazing boat, but the centurion ri series is lowkey making me want one over a new Mastercraft.

    Great video. I'd recommend showing pictures of items that you are discussing as you are viewing them )screen share?) so the viewer can see exactly what you are referencing.

      Please do! It would be really helpful to have visuals of what you discuss. I find myself looking at webpages of the boats you are discussing, as I listen to your podcast, so I can see what you are talking about@@BoardCo

    Thanks for all your videos. We have an ‘07 Tige 22ve and surfs well. We are planning to upgrade and wonder if there is a significant wave difference between the fi23 and the ri230? We understand the non-wave differences but haven’t heard you talk about whether or not the wave is significantly different between the two.

    • @BoardCo
      @BoardCo  Před měsícem

      Great question! The Ri230 has more ballast available, displacing more water thus creating a bigger wave. While the difference in waves between the two may be subtle to some, there is definitely a noticeable difference to others.

    Throw in the MB B52 Aplha 23 for some comps !!!! That boat probably makes the closest wave in surfability to a Centurion....

  • @dsm02c
    @dsm02c Před 3 měsíci

    I run a Malibu M240. The M242 refresh is interior only. The only surf improvement is the addition of fat sacs in the rear lockers. The slide out yeti from the M240 is the best tow boat cooler in the game today. The locker is not useful.

    All Nautiques have also switched to direct injection engines (ZZ5, ZZ6, ZZ8R and ZZ8S.) for a better torque curve and better fuel efficiency

  • @mitchwhite1816
    @mitchwhite1816 Před 8 měsíci

    The new paragon bow is also the same height as the old paragon but they actually built up a over the rub rail. So the bow doesn’t slope down so much as it actually is opposite, they raised the whole upper deck higher. The ZZ8S can run on 89 and they did upgrade the V-drive to be a heavy duty to withstand

    • @mitchwhite1816
      @mitchwhite1816 Před 8 měsíci

      Paragon also got rid of fly by wire, it’s all motor actuated and it’s an incredible upgrade for quality of driving experience. Can switch wave from one side to the other without your hands on the wheel and the wheel won’t budge and the boat will remain in a straight line

    • @ChadYungblood
      @ChadYungblood Před 8 měsíci

      clearly you don't understand fly by wire... fly by wire is a THROTTLE system not a STEERING system.... how does throttle control have anything to do with the steering wheel not moving lmao. YOURE A KEYBOARD WARRIOR THAT HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS SAYING JUST STOP TALKING@@mitchwhite1816

    Thank you very much for the video.
    What would your recommendation be for a wakesurf/wake board boat, mainly for commercial/private day tour use? Will be used in fresh water 90% of the time.
    TIA

    Thanks for the info Mitch! Always enjoy your videos! No one else doing what you do for the tow boat community with content like this. You mentioned Supreme probably won’t update any of their boats for a while? How about smaller things like fit and finish? I absolutely love my S240 and the performance the only thing I would love to see improved is the fit and finish or dated look specifically around the helm. The rocker switches and the dash materials along with the steering wheel leave room for improvement. I had the same rocker switches in an early 2000s Moomba. Do you think Supreme might make any minor changes like this in 2025? This is where I would disagree a little with your thoughts on Tige and their attention to fit and finish. I think their focus on fit and finish is commendable. When someone is spending 100K plus on anything I think there should be a higher level of expectation on fit and finish. To the average person a new Tige looks the part of a 200K boat and does that better than most boats. I think Moomba has done a really nice job of this in the budget class. If I could build the perfect budget boat I would combine everything performance from the Supreme with the fit/finish and little extras of the new Moombas. Pick your battles I know. Honestly though some of the small fit and finish things around the helm, the grab handles, and things like a walk through in the back would be the only things I see as needed upgrades for the Supreme that the Moombas have. Other than that the Supreme S240 is perfect and the best of its class! For me it’s not really a quality issue as much as it is a dated look. Would be curious on your thoughts with the Supreme fit and finish/dated look minus the vinyl and sea deck flooring which is great.

    • @BoardCo
      @BoardCo  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I love your thoughts! Supreme will continue to update and improve the smaller things from year to year. We have seen Supreme make incredible changes in that area over the past couple years and I am sure that they will continue to do so. The Supreme is a bit cheaper then every other towboat so that being said you may not find the fit and finish of a 300k dollar boat, however I would say that for the price the fit and finish is way out of it's league, in recent years that have really knocked it out of the park!

      @boardco I do agree with @jedhayes8856 as well. Another feature that didn't make the list was that Moomba now offers stern thrusters, and as far as I know they're the only "budget" manufacturer offering this. I think same for a powered tower. That being said, we are switching from a Moomba to a 2024 S240 this coming season, and I also agree that the switch gear could use some updating, and is one of the only outdated looking pieces on the boat. While it is definitely practical, and I still like the presence of tactile, non-touchscreen controls for some items, other manufacturers are certainly using better looking and feeling buttons to switches. One of the few things on the boat to improve on!

      @@brandonmorrical8145 Hey with the 2024 S240 you get a separate head unit for the stereo and the new battery system which are both nice updates to the S240 from my 2023 S240. Awesome boat you will love the rough water ride and surfing performance! ATX actually is another budget boat made by Tige that offers thrusters and a power tower. They like Moomba do a nice job on fit and finish with their buttons, knobs, handles, a transom walk through etc. The S240 is a better boat and great choice just looking forward to some more modern updates before I upgrade from my 2023 S240. I like that Mitch is open to the feedback and hopefully shares it with Supreme.

      @@jedhayes8856agreed definitely like the new battery control location, and will certainly appreciate being able to control music outside of the touchscreen. Nice additions for sure. I haven't looked as much into Tige/ATX, partially because of lack of dealer in my area. Looking forward to the Supreme!
