And while it is known as the “live music capital of the world” it’s more than just the music that draws people here! Austin is a mecca for foodies offering some of the best barbeque and Tex-Mex in the world, but it’s also a haven for outdoor lovers as the city boasts more than 300 days of sunshine each year! Add to that its history and quirky, vibrant culture and it’s easy to see why Austin has become one of America’s “it” cities! We had so much fun exploring the Texas state capital! From touring the state capitol building and eating incredible barbeque to taking in the sights of South Congress Avenue and dancing the night away at the “Best Honky Tonk in Texas”, Austin did not let us down!

My beignets were eaten at Cafe du Mond. Oh, you were there in the winter. No wonder you weren't drenched in sweat like I was when I visited in the summer a few years ago. When I was there, I took a bayou tour up in the corner of LA, and it was great! Then, the following summer I drove a rental to Lafayette, where I got to see a live zydeco band, and get on a food tour, all of which was well worth it.

Matt and Nat, I found you at Yellowstone when you were reviewed by someone. Glad I found you. Re. snow in May, mid March is when the Iditarod Dogsled Race takes place, which needs lots of snow, since Denali is in the sub Arctic. When I solo drove there from IL back in '84, I camped at Savage River Campground for 3 days. Like for you, it was amazing, even though I took the bus, getting as far as Eielson Visitors Center. Yes, what you saw were caribou--most likely cows, though some could have been bulls which hadn't yet grown their antlers. When I was up there, I saw a T-shirt that had a cartoon of a mosquito, and the caption read "Alaska State Bird". Matt, you nailed Nenana: knee-NAN-uh. Good job!😀 Great video! It brings back memories.

Ayyye. I know y’all have already been to Oklahoma, but if you ever come back there are a couple cool things you should check out! Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill - Toby Keith was a native Oklahoman, he unfortunately died this year of cancer, and a country music star! His bar and grill is so cool, it’s right off the canal, and the building itself is shaped like a guitar! If you ever come again you should come during the NBA season. No city loves their team more than OKC loves their Thunder. Both OU and OSU athletics have great atmospheres to witness a game to. Next time you’re downtown at night, you should get a carriage ride. It’s so cool, it made me feel like Cinderella! Loved the video, enjoy your travels!

HI! Great pictures ! Budapest was actually born from the merger of three settlements. Pest Buda and Óbuda. The latter is located in the northern part of Buda. Its first name was Pest-Buda. Today shorty name Pest. Historical Pest is roughly today's Downtown. This is the area within the first ring road. Later, several surrounding settlements joined, thus forming the present-day city. At first there were even customs borders within the united settlement. These ceased in 1950. Buda was also the seat of the ruler for a shorter or longer period. This also depends on the political and military situation. There was no permanent bridge over the river then. 4:09 Statue of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Under his leadership, the city was recaptured from the Ottoman Empire in 1686. But he was also the commander of the army that recaptured Hungarian territory. His last battle was Zenta Serbia. The city of Zenta ordered the statue, but could not pay for it. The government of the time paid for it, and finally it was placed in its current location in Buda Castle. Opera house. The ruler at the time, Emperor Franz Jozef, was invited to the first performance. He was known for hating Hungarians. When he entered the auditorium box, he was shocked and remarked: It's more beautiful than the Vienna Opera House... 15:19 This is already an advanced model. In the beginning, it was the Rotary Dial Phone. Besides, not everyone had it. If you had a home phone, you could already feel a little bit like you belonged to the privileged caste. 16:14 when the disco light was not available, but something similar was needed for the house party. That's how it was solved smartly. Of course, this was not 100%, but after a lot of brandy/vodka/red wine, nobody was interested anymore... Pálinka officially has an alcohol content of 37.5 and 86%. However, only those with at least 45% are considered pálinka. Those below 45% are mostly called funny names, referring to their weakness. E.g. rose water, horse saliva. This is especially true when it comes to sweetened and/or flavored drinks. I don't know, do you know the Turkish toilet? It's like a shower tray. A hole between two footprints. You have to aim there... For the shoes. The further career of the executioners can be viewed in the House of Terror... Nat! Visit Gödöllő, preferably by train. There is the Grassalkovich Castle known as the Royal Castle of Gödöllő. If Sissy wanted to travel to the countryside, she traveled here. There is already an old building at the station called the King's Waiting Room. Many people don't know, but a very small part of the Budapest railway network is called the King's Track. This is because this section connects the route coming from Nyugati railway station with the track from Keleti railway station to Gödöllő. It was built specifically for the direct, non-stop travel of the monarch. It is still used today for direct access to Nyugati railway station, but only for operational purposes. The parliament building was designed for the needs of Hungary at the time. There was some representation in the matter, but they did not skimp on it anywhere. Before 1918, practically the entire Carpathian basin and even Croatia belonged to Hungary. If you look at the Carpathian Mountains, you can also see the border. In the south, the Sava River was the border, but at that time parts of Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro (the Bay of Kotor) also belonged to Hungary. The southwestern border was the coast of the Adriatic Sea, even Trieste was part of the Monarchy. The peace decree that ended the First World War and its consequences practically shocked the country. Its influence can still be felt today. 27:13 This is Erős Pista (Strong Stevie). Many people think it's weak, so they invented new sauces with thought-provoking names. Kegyes Halál, Attila Isten Ostora., Nincs Pardon Kabai menykő (Merciful Death, Attila's Whip of God, No Pardon, Meteor of Kaba) There are places where they also give small dried peppers. This can be tricky, so be careful. The Hortobágy pancake is a dish invented in 1958. It was named Hortobágy for marketing reasons, because it has nothing to do with the landscape unit of the same name.

Hi The real story of the Dobos cake is a little different. József C Dobos was a businessman, not a chef. This cookie was sold exclusively by Him. That's why it was named after him. Only high-quality flour can be used for the strudel/rétes, as it is only possible to make paper-thin dough from this type of flour. When they first made strudel/rétes, Hungarian flour was like this, and it was very cheap too. The dough should be so thin that it is translucent. This can be achieved by dragging. The opium in the seeds of the poppy here is very low. In the past, poppy tea was used a lot, but there were also many drug addict. Therefore, the government of the time supported the breeding of opium-free poppies. However, the dry cocoon of the poppy continued to be used to produce pain relievers. The logo of the Alkaloida pharmaceutical company also became the poppy cocoon. From then on, the poppy is in the same category as, for example, tobacco. It can only be grown with a permit, and straw and poppy seeds can only be sold with a permit.Today, only the seeds are sold, because Alkaloida has finished processing the straw. Lángos and chimney cakes are also sold in many places in the city. In many cases, smaller places are cheaper and better. However, mostly the traditional versions are available. The chimney cake has a legend. In 1241, the Mongol Golden Horde attacked the Hungarian Kingdom. This is called the Tatar invasion. The people living here fought, defended hard and died. The Mongols did not expect such a defense and left the following year. The few survivors were evacuated to hidden places in time. The attack ended up destroying 80-90% of the country. (The statue of the king who built the country after him can be seen in the row of columns in Hősök Square. He is Béla IV. His nickname is the second home founder. The first was Árpád. He is also there in the square, among the horsemen.) According to the legend, one of the Hungarian groups fled to a cave. The cave was at the top of a mountain, it was visible. The road leading there was also secret. The Mongols decided to wait until the Hungarians came out for food. But they didn't come out. Many straws were wrapped around a stick and placed in front of the cave. Just like the chimney cake. :-) The Mongols thought the Hungarians had plenty of food, because they could even make cookies. That's why they went somewhere else, trusting that they would have better luck there. Pálinka is not usually sipped. You have to drink it all at once. Dreher beer. The factory is in Budapest in the Kőbánya district. Another popular brand is Soproni beer. That little dumpling is the nokedli. A traditional side dish, especially for stew dishes. For the history of Unicum: When its inventor presented it to the ruler of the time, he exclaimed: Das ist unicum! From then on, the name of the drink is Unicum. During the communist period, the family took the original recipe with them and produced it in Italy. However, he left the recipe for a similar drink at the factory in Szeged. So the communists thought they had the right to manufacture. Which was true, but just not the original drink. After the fall of the regime, the family returned home and resumed production based on the original recipe. best

I'm from Cluj, and moved to Budapest 6 years ago, and i can tell you that the Kurtos Kalacs in hungary is not that good compared to what we have in Transylvania, also the size is 3 times bigger there and almost the same price, and it's much better in every way. On another hand, the real gulyas is like a stew, but most restaurant make it like a stew, but both are delicious, oh and it's ok if you don't like unicum, nobody does :))

Great portion of your video of "Democrat" President Johnson. I recommend that anyone go there and visit his historical family ranch in "Johnson City Texas" go figure how it was named. But sadly look into the history of him and his family. Total Racist and anti people of color. But it is our history ..... live love hate ..... but make things better. LOVE ..... out
