I went with my kids (18 and 16) to the English Garden not knowing about the nudity part and we were all in for quite the surprise. I will never forget my 16yo daughter's face as a fully naked man rode past us on his bike and when we further down the pass could see an entire lawn area of nakedness. Quite the memory!

When we went to Germany several years ago for the Christmas Markets, my husband ordered the pork knuckle and he couldn’t eat it all either. I love the Weinerschnitzel and the potato dumpling or the fried potatoes. Did you just recently go to Munich? I want to go back when it isn’t cold. We stayed at a small boutique hotel. Where did y’all stay and how was your stay?

Great video! Breakfast at Dallmayr is a great idea! But sorry, Currywurst is not Bavarian! Try the little sausages of Nürnberg or the white sausages. And hendl (chicken) and "Steckerl" fish.

Deli is called Dallmayr. Very nice and mouthwatering 😂 and was established in 1700. (I'm from Munich and a visit there is my annual christmas pressie for my aunt and uncle.)
Oh, those potato dumplings look exactly like my mother-in-law's. She is from Berlin and bless her heart, it's about the only thing she cooks well 😄 She is 94 now and doesn't cook the German food as much.

I'm from Munich. Most places accept credit card payment (especially since Covid) still it's advisable to carry some cash with you. To be honest I get shocked when I see a sign that they only accept cash payment. 😂

Do a lot of Germans in Munich speak English? We always try to learn some of the local language before we go somewhere, but it’s hard to learn enough to NOT need English at all.
Yes… Generally, in major cities all throughout Europe, English is common. The further away from the city you get, the less common it is. That’s our experience anyway. That said, you’re doing it right by learning some key phrases. Not only does it help navigate a new place, but it’s also a sign of respect to the locals since you are showing some effort to spread the local language rather than just expecting everyone to speak English.
