yeow
64 in 2024 have listened to the Stanley Brothers all my life and still can't get enough 😊enough
These guys were great but love to see how much better they got over the next forty years.
No shortage of hair on that stage 🎉
I think I am going to have to buy myself an auto harp so I can play these songs and sing on a corner.
tears me to pieces every time i listen to it. i remember the first time i ever heard it, it tore me apart. i found a record of this album at a thrift store for very cheap a while back. i knew who hank williams was and so i bought it. i went home, put it on my record player and played it. when i got to this song, i was stunned. it truly is an amazing, but extremely sad song. Nobody will ever beat Luke the Drifter
See ....I told y'all...Russell WAS skinny...and the mullet. Excellent flow...excellent.

We still sing these old hymns in our little Baptist church. There is a sermon in most all of them. Love all of them.
END THE FED. Gold IS money.
That voice! So glad he shares his gift from God😊
I listened to these 2 on a radio station in Wheeling W VA back when I was a kid, and that was a long time ago!
I remember in high-school listing to Ray Kennedy, and the local station did request s on Friday nights and 80% of the people who requested a song thought Randy Travis sang this song and " what a way to go" they never corrected the requester so alot of people didn't actually know. Same year I went to a Randy Travis Concert and they asked a woman what song she would like to hear and she requested "Scars" 😂🤷🏻♂️
This is better on mute
Wow,what a gem! Good job Glenn Duncan
Great song when it debuted, still great today
The economy of motion that John had when playing banjo is just crazy. Steady as a top. Also, Tony saying "yeah Flux!" is just peak bluegrass.
I wish my dad was here to listen to this music he would off love it. R.ip. dad
Right on ❤
33:23 Precious memories
Ernest was the best.
I prefer Ralph Stanley over Bill Monroe
God's music 🙏
Reckon ill set a minit.
I love ❤these old songs
It's a crime this music getting Lost!@$#&^*:;[|
I like the version with his wife and the Whites
He's doing a show in Illinois. Tickets $972. He's not suffering😂
Extremely beautiful song, vocals & really love that bluegrass music! Beautiful!❤️🎶🎼🎵🪕🎻🎸
wow this is such a golden song and sung by a golden voice
Damn! A couple of monster pickers rippin' it up... what's not to like? Albert Lee... killer speed, string bends, dexterity and accuracy in the pickin' along with sensitivity as to how much of an attack to put on the strings = very high quality sound produced. AND I have always loved that classic Fender Telecaster tone for either Country or Rock. I was kind of disappointed that Ricky Skaggs didn't have more opportunities to shine because that dude is a gunslinger on mandolin.
Love it can I have tabs
I can't stop listening in circle ! If I would have played on a LP, it would be burnt by now...
Great stuff!
Damn
I don't suppose this will be read now after all the years, but i have just discovered this ,sorry, all I can say is that this is the most fantastic peice of genius I have ever heard in my life,, its just wonderful, just wonderful, and no words can express the genius, God bless all you wonderful players, this is a gift from God that only comes once in a million years, God bless you all, xxx
I hear ya!!…amazing pickin’…. wish Albert had kept playing the tele instead of switching to that red offset guitar later, but of course he sounds great on that too! * legend*
What do you mean he is coming home @ 4:04?
Massive and obese
Annual shoutout to this channel and the original program for making one of the best videos ever.

Loved Rank Stranger...Little Maggie...Shackles and Chains
Wonder what Bill would think of Billy Strings? The amount of money Billy is bringing to the Bluegrass community is undeniable for the families of guys like Bill,Doc Watson and The boys.
