    Hi good quality video but some things are done incorrectly. The door locks you didn't take the mounting plate off the lock that is why they wouldn't fit in the cut hole. the Stricker plates you put on back to front that is why the rivets where to long enough.

    Great job it looks really good. Just a little tip to save you a little bit of time you can simply join the neutrals at the loop terminal at the switch and not have to solder and join them separately, just make sure theres no exposed copper showing that can touch the active. What you did was awesome just another to do it ( loop is just a genral termination point on the switch much like joining them separately)

      Hi David, The bus is currently at the mechanic, but we can give you a rough estimate. From behind the drivers seat to the rear is approximately 5.8 metres in length. The width at the floor is around 2.1 metres, and the maximum width at the window's is around 2.25 metres. We can't remember the exact stairwell dimensions but from memory it comes in approximately 50cm or so. Hope this gives you some idea, even if not exact! Thanks again 😊

    🆘 🆘 🆘 📣 ❌❌❌ Great video really helpful… instructions that come with the kit from company were dismal,however I was able to be at their location and I asked in-depth instructions and made a video for the install. Can I just point out so others don’t make the same mistake you guys did and that is the metal stoppers / lock area attached to bus at the bottom, you have put them on completely incorrectly. You must have the double layer the other way so the lock has a double layer of metal to lock into if that makes sense (double must be the visible end). The thin end is what attaches to the bus. That is why you made the comment about the rivets being barely big enough. They are perfect if you install it property… if I am not making sense to anyone feel free to ask for further clarification from me. 🚌

    Hey great to see back on line again after such a long time. One year ago I bought a replacement bus as our roof on the Coaster was too low for us, us being 1.85 m. I converted it in the rainy season and by December it was ready for independent camping. It is a Brasilian Marcopolo Agrale a 27 passenger tourism coach with nice soft suspension , AC, and soundproofing, and air brakes. We have spent the last 5 months on the road (or beach) and have returned home now the rains have started. I am sure you have progressed from the the floor work a long time ago, and I hope your build progresses and you both enjoy the pleasures of the road once again soon. Best wishes to you both from Costa Rica.

    • @RoamingonRubber
      @RoamingonRubber Před 2 lety

      Hey, the instructions for the shurflo ask for flexible hose either side of the pump. We did this for in the inlet but didn't bother going 30cm flexible to JG on the outlet. We use food grade because we found you get a plastic-like taste from hoses that aren't food grade

    • @markh6676
      @markh6676 Před 2 lety

      @@RoamingonRubber no worries, Shurflo recommend flexible either side because it absorbs the pump vibrations whereas the rigid JG won't. But, you only need a short 30-45cm piece either side, you can just use those made up flexible braided plumbing hoses. Especially important on the delivery side as there's more vibration. Queitens the pump right down.

    Hi 👋 I have installed the same Sony head unit in the same location. I had two problems. 1. The pink wire, which is supposed to be constant 12v supply is actually not constant (in my bus). It is only live with the ignition in accessory mode. I have not yet worked out why. If anyone else had the same issue I would appreciate any solution or feedback. 2. I find the position of the head unit to be too low. It makes it hard to see for looking at the display which is bad for using the navigation functionality of the car play. I’m thinking to mount it up on the dash. To do this I will have to make a 3d printed casing. Any thoughts or feedback pls?

      @RoamingonRubber Před 2 lety

      Hi Frank, no in Australia you are allowed to do the 12V yourself. Both 12v and 24v is considered low voltage. It is if you have any 240v that needs to be installed by a qualified electrician and certified. At least in Australia where we are anyways, not sure in other countries. Hope that helps!

    • @1knightinbangkok946
      @1knightinbangkok946 Před rokem

      I think you will find that in Australia, anything over 60 volts needs to be done by an electrician. Looking at your solar panels, these appear to be over 60V. Most people don't know this and do it themselves, but as long as your careful you should be ok.

      Hi Bhry! The aircraft plywood is super lightweight, however it is very expensive. That one sheet (which I think was around 1 metre by maybe 900mm) was approximately $90. Just have to work out if its cost efficient for you. Not sure if you can get larger sheets and then see if its cheaper to buy that way. Haha glad you are enjoying it! Good luck with your future build 😁

    Did you have to get a mod plate for the seat removal ?. Loved watching your build

      Hi, when we spoke to our engineer, he advised to do all of the work, including removing the seats, and he would do all of the certifications and mod plates at the same time. For us, this was because the bus was unregistered and not going to be used throughout the build. If we were to be registering and driving it throughout, we would of needed to remove the seats, and get ot modified to a 2 seater 'panel van'. Then at the end of the build, get it modified again to a motorhome. For us just doing it once was easier. Hope that helps!
