9iar team was made up of mainly British players with a spatering of quality overseas talent it only seems since our re emergence from the doldrums of the lower leagues we have decided overseas talent is the way to go growing up my shirts said gascoine, ferguson, mccoist,durant and i could go on all quality talent from these shores the reason that we look down upon our own talent pool is snobery and (mabe wont go down well with some) but it could only be a good thing having young Scottish boys playing first team pressurised football at a huge club like ours for our international team 😉

I think Lennon Miller could even be too expensive for us. Barron seems to be edging closer to a move to Italy. Lyall Cameron seems an exciting player but not on the same level as the others but David Watson could be available for us at a good price and plays the game with such maturity we must go for him.

Blair Spittal is a good signing by Hearts. There are some younger ones coming through like Rory Whittaker at Hibs and Dylan Smith at County as well as the Franczak brothers at St Johnstone as well as Hearts’ Denhlm and Tait. Then in the Championship theres Lewis Nielson, Kai Fotheringham and Dean McMaster. There are also some other ones coming through in the lower leagues and even some getting game time in the Premiership definitely enough quality for us to be looking at.

Can't argue with your analysis.Every great team that was successful in our league had a backbone of Scottish talent.We seem to get blinded by foreign names.Time we looked on the ground and not up in the sky.Our priority is to win the league not just develope a cash flow.We need proven players who have shown that they can hack it continuously in the SPL.

Some very good nominations there, Craig, but I don't agree with what happened to JJ. Steven Gerrard hung Jordan "out to dry" after the Old Firm game where he was put up in the air 10 seconds after he came on to the pitch and so he tried to get a bit of revenge on the clown who hacked him, there was only a few minutes left in the game, but JJ ends up getting sent off and he injured himself too. Oh, how the jungle jims had a field day with that scenario, a Rangers-supporting, Northern Ireland international player being publicly slaughtered, they all joined in and they loved it, (your fans did something similar to big John McLaughlin too, due to a 5-minute spell in another Old Firm game). Anyway, some other players well worth a mention, in my opinion, mate: Matt Kennedy - Kilmarnock - He's just as good as Dan Armstrong. Alex Cochrane - Hearts - I'd put him up against your Ridvan any day of the week, they're very similar players. Frankie Kent - Hearts - The big man is class, the best compliment I can give him is that he's like a younger version of Leon Balogun. You're right about Lennon Miller too, he needs at least one more season with Motherwell to learn his trade and develop.

Credits for making this video CJ…this is an issue that needs to be addressed at Rangers. Far too many times we have rejected young Scottish talents because they are “not good enough”, and then they go on to reach great potential.

I think we should promote our own youth rather than getting players from other teams and paying over the odds. There are players as good in our youth system just not given a chance

With Shankland being a Rangers fan it would be crazy not to sign him. We'll have a better chance of winning Scottish trophies with more players who are used to Scottish football and who can stay fit.

Should have been doing this from the lower leagues when relegated - bringing in and training up Scottish talent and potential but then we should have been pushing to get into the English Premier League at that point as well in my opinion...I mean if it's good enough for Welsh sides Cardiff and Swansea and (London)Derry City playing in the Republic of Ireland league despite being a Northern Ireland based team then why not?...anyway...not forward thinking enough since our implosion a decade ago...We severely lack ambition yet the fans sing of what a great club...we once where... Hopefully Clement will bring us on! Time to get back to it. 2 years on from hammering Borrusia Dortmund in the Europa League and they are in the CL final and where are we? The club that once stood by a manager and built success have sacked 2 managers in 2 years and are struggling to overthrow a poor Celtic team all be it we have a come a long way in 10 plus years...Hopefully we can capture the league and cup and with the right clear out and right players in over the transfer window we will be back on the road to success!

The board and Ross Wilson/Michael Beale made an absolute mess of the signings. Bottom line is we could have got Shankland & Lewis Ferguson years ago for decent money. Both blue noses and would be the backbone of our dressing room going forward!
