I hit like and subscribe! I like your cogent and lucid explanations to the point! I was wondering more details about the xm-5's noise canceling. Do you think it is better than the xm-4's, or better than the Bose Ultras you mention? Also you say the noise canceling is nice because you can hear someone when you need to. Does that mean when you have noise canceling on if someone says hello or something to you you can hear them? For me that's not good as I ride city buses and really cherish if I can have a quiet ride and tune people out. With my xm-4's it helps 50% but still I hear annoying people and sounds and any of the higher pitched sounds are filtered out definitely better than nothing but I was hoping the xm'5's would make an even greater difference. With my xm-4's I was waiting at a bus stop and sitting on a park bench and very busy traffic passing quickly so a lot of loud whine from the tires going over the textured concrete street surface and I mean really loud. The xm-4's definitely helped but I was shocked how much sound still surpassed their noise canceling capacity and I think it was the high pitch whine of the tires that actually was a higher frequency and the xm-4's didn't help as much. Also babies cry at high pitches and mentally challenged people with high pitched voices and ones on drugs if they are having a high pitched burn out fit that kind of high frequency doesn't filter that very well either. Also you own many models and you don't mention how these compare to all the other many models you own and wondering what you analyze using all because it helps with my purchasing decisions and it helps having a comparative base of some kind to compare to, like maybe types of sounds too. Name all your models and what are the headphones you like most of all? Thanks for your video!!

The problem is ... many of us GYM rats does for example incline treadmill walks and when the distance does not match , no way of changing it. Not even stupid Strava let you do this. You can do manual distance only if the workout is manually added and not recorded by the watch or whatever device. I want to find a way to edit distance of already finished and recorded by apple watch workouts that are indoors ? How on earth is possible apple watch ultra to not have the ability to correct distance or climbed / elevation if i walk on incline treadmill is beyond me and its super bad.

I cycle and I have used 3 different flagship bone conduction headphones from Shockz - starting back in 2017 when they were still Aftershokz. A fact you will have to live with - with all bone conduction headphones regardless of the price - is that the audio quality will be S**T with all bone conduction earphones: that's a trade off you have to make for bone conduction. What you gain is probably the best option for situational awareness. Unlike open ears with conventional drivers, the sound coming from the bone conduction is better separated from the audio coming from your headphones and definitely better than even the best passthrough modes on true wireless in-ear headphones. The only reason you would/should get these are if you want to hear what's happening around you. Otherwise there are always better options.

I had the opposite experience went from a Garmin to an Apple Watch. Trained and ran for 3 marathons with the Garmin and my last 2 with the Apple Watch. Garmin is an ok smart watch with a superb experience for classic sport activities tracker, Apple is the opposite, ok sport activity tracker, superb smart features. Pick your poison. Garmin was also huge and hard to coordinate with any non athletic wardrobe, Apple Watch is also ugly but more ubiquitous. Both are meh tracking rock climbing so I finally settled in the one that’s more functional for a higher percentage of my time.

Excellent comparison video. I really appreciate the work you put into this. Despite similar outcomes I’m still going to purchase the H10 if only because I want that accuracy during spikes. At my age I want to know if I can really lay into an orange and red zone and feel comfortable that I’m actually ACCURATELY in that zone. I’m literally wearing them right now and I had to make sure I had them on and the phone wasn’t just on and loud because my son is asleep next to me. They are so loud and comfortable it feels like I have nothing on and the phone is playing normally!

Absolutely love my Shoks OpenRuns. I road and mountain bike. In toad the wind noise can het annoying, but I can hear everything around me. Mtn biking theyre great.

I bought the first Apple Watch as an Apple Fan Boy. It was useless for running. I eventually switched to Garmin and have had a few now. I have a 265 at the moment and the Suggested Workouts are amazing for helping me to get fitter.Also being able to choose between touchscreen and physical buttons is awesome too. The screen and battery life are brilliant too. Garmin Pay only works with certain cards in the UK, not mine. I don’t listen to music when I run so can’t really comment on that. So a couple of cons but I absolutely love my watch and all the stats.❤

I've found a leather band on Etsy that looks pretty cool. I did just order several from Amazon ranging from nylon to leather. I'd really like a metal band but all the Amazon offerings have bad reviews so I might actually get the Garmin in that case. I drive a lot at night so having anything glowing in front of my face wouldn't be great. I do like the idea of a glowing band for running or cycling at night. The better everyone else sees you the safer you are.

Please note the Bose are twice the cost. And from the call quality test, Bose was terrible. SMH.

The case is definitely the weak point, I’ve got a pair, they lasted 6 months before they started having issues with charging. The left earbud would not charge correctly and or continuously discharge. Which now the left discharges twice the rate of the right. I did file a claim with Shokz and true to their warranty they replaced them. I do love these, they are super comfortable. (Edit) For the new pair, I purchased a case on Amazon to protect the case from drops and being crushed in my pockets or gym bag, hopefully this will prevent the same problem from occurring on the new set. I was shocked to see him swimming in these under water, I got mine wet once due to forgetting i had them on and taking a shower at the gym. I was so worried I would have ruined them just with that, but apparently they are a lot more water resistant than I expected.

Also what band is best for wearing the watch while working out? Looking at the Spigen rugged armour pro band. I like that white one you’re wearing.
