I’ve rebuilt my front end suspension on my k1500. Working on my steering now. Thank god for this video lol I ironically ran into the same issue on these on my front passenger diff seal. I asked everyone at the parts store if these had an axle seal they said no. Replaced both cv axles and hub assemblies and checked after 2 days of driving and noticed the front passenger differential leaking out of my new cv axle part. I’m new to 4wd’s and this is my first truck ever, but ya live and learn. anyways back to it my man keep up the videos!

As much I love my 2005 Astro I hate the way they did the electrical system in this car. Wait for a hot day when the harness above the transmission crack en All the nine conductors huge each other 😅

So I got the oil cooler out and replace those o rings but I'm still leaking from the same area. I tightened them down to torque spec so idk what going on. Any ideas?

How much oil is lost during this procedure? Does it warrant a complete oil change?

Honestly that was a great video. Many are able to complete the job without taking out the intake, but for some, we have to go deeper. Easy to follow and the most difficult part was making sure you have the right tools. Getting that fuel line off was tough, but after that smooth sailing. Thank you for sharing! Also, I’ve been told that not all sensor replacements come with the screen / filter. Additional note: if you do chose to take the intake off I highly recommend taking the fuel line off before you loosen the intake housing bolts.

Not sure if you’re still answering but if we just replaced spark plugs and had one that looked absolutely drenched in oil, but still went and replaced all the plugs would it cause misfires and stalling?

I have this issue currently on my subaru, 195000 miles, at least i think that's the issue. It's hard to figure out if that's the issue or if it's piston rings going out, can anyone give me hope or tell me the bad news??

Thank you. I will try, Lucus oil stabalizer. Also spay carb cleaner in the PCV valve. I also saw videos online of removing the valve cover and drilling it out.

I took my 07 Denali to the shop to get mines replaced they said it was stuck and they didn’t want to break it off so they told me to take it to the dealership 😡

Great instructional video, straight to the point and very clear. I have a 1988 k1500 4x4. Just put a new high performance 350 and new trans 700. Noticed my axle seal on the passenger side was leaking. I specialize in the marine industry, but I’ve always worked on cars throughout my young years.

Seems I'm the only one wants to fix my Forester. Took it to the shop and when they found oil in the plug said they have to test all this stuff and tear the engine down. I just brought it back home and going to try this.

Exactly 2 weeks ago I replaced the oil pressure sender on our 2014 Yukon 6.2; this had the little useless plastic shield back there, but I was finally able to reach around and do the sender R&R without taking the intake manifold off. I watched CZcams videos, most folks do NOT remove the manifold to do this job.

Electrician gremlins are the worst to diagnose. I have 03 Silverado ran fine until this year. No start on hot August day AC on and drove 10 nikes shut it iff no start, bo radii no key chime, wiggled wires nothing finally started. No problem after that until 2eek later again upper 90s. About month later add no lights took lot of tries. Replaced the ignition switch ran fine for few months now is similar to dead battery early AM no start .is worse parked under street light. Sometimes just hold the key in start until it does. Today starts in the daytime no problem until it stalled start and stalled. Newer is better okay. I worked in Ford dealership a f150.had electric issues a plenty. The tech was told to fix it. Turn on the wipers radio may change stations or one thing caused another. He finally took the fender off the bulk head connector had green corrosion . The fire wall 9nn08 thru 13 when it poured rain or in carwash the firewall to hood seals improperly made the water runs down the firewall to the bulkhead. The 250nhas different firewall for the diesel and v10 engines. My old novas sit your a** down start it up drive like a teenager never broke down ran without problems. My SS was handful driven very hard just add gas. My new stuff wonder now what?

hey skamps, so buddys shaft came apart on passenger side so i took apart and changed the seal and bearing. Now i cant for the life of me get the gear back on to the shaft so itll hold it in place. Any ideas? the snap ring is inside the gear and its like there isnt enough room to get it back on? thanks. P.S. ok i think the snap ring broke causeing all this mess, going to order new snap ring and see if itll stay on there.

Is there a gasket you can use for the tube housing? I have an 01 silverado I was looking for a gasket for it but it keeps saying 07 and up for fitment for the tube gasket? I'm about to attempt a passenger side seal and bearing change I did the drivers side already but just want to buy a gasket for it if possible. I'll go with rtv if I have to thanks need advice on this.

So I’ve had a small coolant leak for about the last two months but nothing was ever dripping underneath the car. Well today I’m driving and it overheated, I pulled over I filled it up with Coolant. I drove like two more miles in traffic and sure enough . It started overheating again. I took a flashlight and there’s water gushing basically right where that cooler is. I hate this car. I don’t know what could possibly be leaking. But I guess im going to have to to take everything off and look at it.

I replaced the oil pan gasket without lifting the motor, i had some obstacles along the way, first it looked like it could drop about one inch but it didn't, there is something sticking out of the rack and pinion that didn't let it drop too much but just enough room to work, second i tought i could move it back and forth but it moved mostly towards the back and a little sideways, a trim prybar would be useful to remove the bolts as they are inside the gasket, and the gasket comes out easier once the bolts are removed, since i couldn't see the surface of the pan and motor i run a finger all the way around to make sure none of the old gasket was still there, and used a utility knife blade to remove the pieces stuck to the surface scraping from the inside out, i was able to apply gasket sealer on 3 of the 4 spots you are supposed to apply, on one a had to use a finger to apply, it took like 3 hours to do it but i was taking my time, also once new gasket was in place i run a finger all the way around to make sure it was in the groove where it goes, that's just to replace the gasket nothing else. 2012 durango with the hemi engine by the way

Wow. 1st, I thought it was crazy that some diy'er just hacked that tab off, but now a dedicated vid from a "mechanic"?! "Well, I don't wanna do the job right, so let's hack this off! Who cares?!" Yes folks, just hack up your engine bay when doing it right is too much. You could probably just loosen the manifold & wiggle the valve cover out. Nah, hack it!! Good advice for beginners!!
