So I just got a garmin 840 I took a ride yesterday I turned it on today and I see yesterday's stats on my ride screen how do I delete those it's nothing like my garmin 800 I don't understand what I'm missing?

Why is it not possible to add via points to an existing route on Garmin devices? I can click on the map and it will calculate a route. But if i want to add a detour the existing route has to to be stopped. It shouldn't be so complicated.

Cant find a profile total odo to keep track of miles on each road and gravel bike and also ytd odo

Thankyou guys for doing this video, you showed the stupid thing where if you dont touch the screen once after it says "tap to move things", it then does not give you the option to save it!. Dumbass music instead of narrating what your doing. When I looked at the writing on the left I lost what you did on the Garmin. I didn't come to listen to music. I clicked on to see how the unit works.

I found the music really distracting and the information too quick and and a little vague. How do you stop after a ride to record it? I'm still learning how to use my 1040..

Thanks! I wish I'd seen this before I took my first ride. The Garmin unit comes with virtually no "how to" info. My first ride was pretty frustrating. It's way more configurable (and useful) than I thought. I do wonder how you can plan out a route and then change it out there. For instance, if you plan a 30mile route and then aren't feeling up to it - it would be nice to be able to say "take me shortest route back". Any ideas?

Thank you for great video. Does navigation tips work only for routes made in garmin connect? I planned route in komoot, downloaded the gpx file, it doesnt show the navigations tips, and the destination to next point is showing the complete route length. Inside the device the navigation tips are turned on. I mean it doesn't show the turn arrow and and not showing distance to next turn.

Wouldn't it be great if you could hear the beeps and noises of the Garmin insead of that terrible music.

Wow! I'm still using a set of these, likely 10 years old now, this video was super helpful. Love the wheels, especially the hubs, hate the tire install.
