I can't get the course points to transfer from Garmin Connect to my Edge 1030. The course transfers to the Edge but without the course points. I have the Course Points setting enabled on the 1030. Is there some other setting or trick to get the course points to transfer??

Some more insight on how you set this up in terms of creating the points in GC would be much appreciated.

Hi Anthony - Garmin have a new 'Climb Pro' feature on the edge 830 which will automatically id climbs (so long as they meet a certain combination of length and average grade) for any route that you download. There is then a new 'Climb Pro' screen with a graphical representation of the climb as well as data fields for distance and ascent remaining for the climb (and 2 additional custom data fields). The great news is that this feature will hopefully be available on the 1030 via an update in the not too distant future (according to DC rainmaker). We have an 830 hopefully inbound next week so will pop up a video in due course.

How did you create course points that the device recognises as course points? I've tried gpx, tcx and fit with no luck...

  • @jfmheatingandcooling3967

Can i use this option on edge 520 or 820?

Nice but lose HR and power data on that screen. Probably putting that on the custom screen you showed would work best, but it would be nice to see at least power data on the hill profile screen.

Hello! How are you adding de Waypoints? I set up the screen just like you and the waypoints are visible in map screen. But in the elevation screen the Crs. Pt. Dist. does not show de distance

Can't imagine worse music -- seems to be a theme with your videos. Otherwise useful info.
